Rob Zombie To Direct “Halloween 2″

halloween_one_sheet_1442Rob Zombie has announced that he’ll be writing a sequel to his 2007 film, Halloween, next year. The tentative title is H2. It will be Rob’s 5th film. Zombie just wrapped production on his animated feature film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto due to be released in 2009.
Zombie’s H2 will pick up at the exact moment the first movie stopped and follow the aftermath of Michael Myers murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode.
“I am very excited to be working with Bob Weinstein again and returning to the world of Halloween,” states Zombie. “The remake laid the groundwork, now it’s time to really take Michael Myers to the next level. I believe we’ve just barely scratched the surface of where we can take this series.”
Zombie has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance for “Lords of Salem” off the Educated Horses album. He’s a busy guy in 2009, as he also expects to complete a new studio album.

I am one of the few people that I know of who liked the fist movie and I am excited to see what is in store for us in the next one.

I totally agree. He is talking about raising the bar and I think this one will be in the vein of something like Devil’s Rejects violence-wise. We will see soon enough!
