The new image of the lastest promo poster for Star Trek has hit the web.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this has turned out to be a fake and fans are still  anxiously await the new posters for the film. More on this as it develops.

J.J. Abrams and screenwriters Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci new vision of the greatest space adventure of all time,  Star Trek, opens in theaters on May 5, 2009.

The film follows James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) enrolling at Starfleet Academy, his first meeting with Spock (Zachary Quinto), and their battles with timetravelling Romulans from the future.
