When I see anything relating to The Last Unicorn, I get a little more than excited. I play the soundtrack on a daily basis and I’ve probably read the book more than 50 times. It’s by far one of the greatest and most enchanting stories to ever enter my life. Peter S. Beagle inspired me to write my own story and if you haven’t read or see The Last Unicorn, you need too.

I was severely dissapointed in the first anniversary DVD release of the film a few years back, when I purchased it, due to several audio edits. Granted it is minor “cussing” that is cut out. But I’m sorry. When you are used to the original film, those moments are there and those phrases are used to emphasize the passion of the characters emotions at that moment. To me it took away the very essence of the scene. Especially for an ANNIVERSARY release. Will those changes be restored in this new release? I do love the new artwork on the cover and the poster is a genuine tease! I will definitely purchase the new release if they can guarantee that they have fixed the problems of the first DVD.
