The world’s best UFC fighters – Miesha “Cupcake” Tate, Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holly Holm – are making their acting debut in the action MMA thriller FIGHT VALLEY. Breaking Glass Pictures is releasing the film written and directed by Rob Hawk in theaters and VOD this spring.
FIGHT VALLEY stars three of Ronda Rousey’s biggest rivals. Miesha Tate is an American mixed martial artist, currently ranked No. 1 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women’s Bantamweight class, and stars as “Jabs” the film. Cris Cyborg, who stars as “Church”, is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and the former Strikeforce Women’s Featherweight Champion. Holy Holm plays “Payton” in the film and defeated Ronda Rousey this November at the UFC PPV.
When Tory Coro is found dead in the streets of Fight Valley her sister Windsor moves to the town to begin her own investigation. There she meets Jabs (Tate), the most feared and respected ex-fighter around. Windsor realizes to survive in the town she will have to fight. Under the training of Jabs, Windsor is determined to come face-to-face with Tory’s killer and fight for justice.
Filmed in Camden, N.J., FIGHT VALLEY also stars the current World Boxing Organization’s Lightweight Champion Amanda Serrano, Susie Celek, Erin O’Brien, Cabrina Collesides, Kari J. Kramer, and Chelsea Durkalec.
Director Rob Hawk will be donating a percentage of the film’s proceeds to the Fight Like a Girl Foundation in honor of his mother who passed away from breast cancer.
