iDKHOW Premieres Official Video For New Single “Choke”

iDKHOW’s Ryan Seaman and Dallon Weekes

I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW), the alt/pop band lost in time fronted by Dallon Weekes, long-time bassist for Panic! At The Disco and one of the songwriters/lyricists behind Panic’s Gold release Too Weird To Live, Too Rare to Die!, and drummer Ryan Seaman, announce the premier of the music video for the band’s fan-favorite song – already with nearly 32-million plays – “Choke.”  With the single heading to Alternative Radio in early February, you can check out the video below!

The recent discovery of this long forgotten performance was accompanied only by the following description:  “‘Pop Time Live’ was a short-lived music television program that aired briefly in Eastern Europe in the early 1980’s.  The show and its producers had hoped to capitalize on the then popular ‘Italo Disco’ movement, but audiences found its lack of authenticity objectionable.”

Labeled “NOT FOR BROADCAST,” it’s believed that this particular iDKHOW performance never made it to air due to the band’s refusal to properly pantomime to their own song.

“Choke” is the lead-off track from iDKHOW’s six-song debut EP 1981 Extended Play (Fearless) that debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart.  About it, Alternative Press editor Jason Pettigrew wrote, “Weekes’ songwriting is a lattice of 70’s glam, 80’s new wave and contemporary pop sensibilities driven by Seaman’s rhythmic sense of the appropriate, from jaunty tribal drumming to finessed jazz patterns.  It’s a synergy that graybeard rock historians can pore over while the rest of the denizens in the club dance to an irresistible collusion of musical eras.”

The band will launch 2019 with a multi-week radio promotion tour in support of “Choke.” iDKHOW appeared on the December cover of the UK’s RockSound and is on the cover of the new (January) issue of Alternative Press.

ABOUT I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW)
I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME – Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman – is a musical entity with a conceptual backstory.  The name, a key to their remarkable odyssey, is taken from a piece of dialogue from the 80s classic film “Back To The Future.” They are a lost act from the late 70s early 80s that never quite made it, but their rare and long-forgotten music has recently been unearthed thanks to today’s technological resources.  Weekes and Seaman are just starting to resurrect the songs and innovative spirit of iDKHOW for a new generation starved for creative risk taking and unbound joy.

I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME is getting a second chance.  For the first time.
