After Dark Film’s Unveils “Main Event” Poster, Theater Listings


After Dark Film’s Horrorfest 4 kicks off in two weeks! Check out a list of cities and locations for the the big event below along with the with the “Main Event” Poster! The Ultimate Horror Event , HORRORFEST 4 – 8 FILMS TO DIE FOR, hits theatres January 29th-February 4th.

The films to be shown include Dread, The Graves, Hidden, Lake Mungo, Kill Theory, The Final, Zombies of Mass Destruction, and The Reeds.

The Graves is about sisters Megan and Abby whose visit to Skull City Mine turns into a mind bending fight for survival against menaces both human, and supernatural.

The Graves stars Clare Grant (Masters of Horror), Jillian Murray (The Fun Park), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre II), Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare on Elm St., Dexter), D. Randall Blythe (Screamer, Lamb of God), Shane Stevens, Patti Tindall (Death of a Ghost Hunter), Barbara Glover (Red Rock West), Calabrese and Tony Todd (24, Candyman).

In The Graves two inseparable sisters, Megan and Abby Graves, are taking one last wild road trip before Megan has to start a new job. The journey includes a trip through remote Arizona in search of a kitschy roadside attraction. Instead, Megan and Abby happen on Skull City Mine, a weather-beaten, abandoned mine town converted into a self-guided tour. What seems like a fun day in the sun turns into a mind-bending fight for survival against menaces both human and supernatural.

After Dark Horrorfest Announces ‘ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction’


ZMD_PosterAfter Dark Films announces that the company has inked a deal with Typecast Pictures to feature ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction in its next incarnation of After Dark Horrorfest®: 8 Films to Die For®. In addition to directing the film, Kevin Hamedani co-wrote the feature with Ramon Isao. Janette Armand, Doug Fahl, and Cooper Hopkins star. John Sinno of Typecast Films produced and Ali Hamedani and John Sinno executive produced. Dana Lambert, VP of Acquisitions at After Dark brokered the deal with Andrew Herwitz of Film Sales Co. who represented the filmmakers in the negotiations.

In ZMD, a conservative island community is under attack! Port Gamble, Washington is being overrun with braineaters, and the people seem powerless to stave them off. A rag tag band of rebels led by Frida (Janette Armand), an Iranian college student suspected of being an Iraqi terrorist, and Tom (Doug Fahl), a gay business man who has returned to town with his partner to come out to his mother, tries to turn the tide and push the invading hoards of undead back.

“We are so pleased to offer up a gory, sharp film with such social relevance,” said After Dark Films Executive Stephanie Caleb. “It brings a new level of variety to this year’s fest and we’re happy to have such a fun film to share with our fans.”

After Dark Horrorfest® 4 runs for one week in theatres across the United States from January 29nd – February 4th, making it the largest nationwide film festival.
