Diamante Enlists All-Female Team For “Thelma & Louise” Inspired “Had Enough” Music Video

Diamante Enlists All-Female Team For “Thelma & Louise” Inspired “Had Enough” Music Video

As her sultry and show-stopping video for “Coming In Hot” crosses 1 Million YouTube streams, 21-year-old rock phenom Diamante shows she’s more than meets the eye in the brand new video for her female empowerment video anthem “Had Enough”.

Shot on location in Palm Springs CA, Diamante enlisted an all-female team to create the ultimate gal-pal road trip video, which pays homage to the classic pissed-off-chick-flick Thelma and Louise. Taking the desert by storm alongside actress Mackenna Johnson, the video features a behind-the scenes cast including Director/Producer Sofia Lane, production crew Rose Lu and Alyssa Mordal, and camera work by Tania Espinosa Cueva. Each woman is up-and-coming in her respective field.

“It’s critical to see more women at the top of fields traditionally dominated by men,”explains Diamante on her decision to hire women for this shoot. “But in order to do that, we need to give women a chance to get their foot in the door. It was very important to me to create opportunities for other women in the making of this video.”

Originally recorded by Lower Than Atlantis, Diamante decided to put her stamp on the song because the strong lyrical content struck a chord. “Something about its unapologetic honesty really captivated me. I think that level of honesty and bluntness of being able to tell the world: ‘Hey! I’m pissed off!’ is very powerful and something that music has been craving, especially in today’s climate.”

Had Enough” is the fourth track released from her forthcoming debut record due out later this year on Better Noise Records, following “Haunted”, “Sleepwalking” and the breakout track “Coming In Hot”.

Produced by Howard Benson [Chris Cornell, Kelly Clarkson, My Chemical Romance, Halestorm], the upcoming collection brings to light a signature sound the artist has been developing meticulously since age 13. With her edgy style, sultry vocals, pop sensibility, and unabashed swagger, the Mexican-Italian-American solo artist draws from myriad influences and calls to mind legends from a spectrum of rock icons including Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Debbie Harry, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Bowie.

Diamante Returns With Empowering New Single “Had Enough”

Diamante Returns With Empowering New Single “Had Enough”

It’s 2018 and 21-year-old DIAMANTE is ready to take on the world. Today, she shares the new single “Had Enough” (out now on all DSPs), also revealing a lyric video in which she channels superman.

Originally recorded by Lower Than Atlantis, DIAMANTE’s take on “Had Enough” turns the song into an empowerment anthem.

“I decided to cover ‘Had Enough’ because of its strong lyrical content and sentiment really struck a chord with me,” DIAMANTE explains. “Something about its unapologetic honesty really captivated me. I think that level of honesty and bluntness of being able to tell the world: ‘Hey! I’m pissed off!’ is very powerful and something that music has been craving, especially in today’s social climate.”

Diamante Releases Single “Coming In Hot” From Forthcoming Album

Diamante Releases Single “Coming In Hot” From Forthcoming Album

Los Angeles-based Mexican-Italian-American solo artist DIAMANTE brings a new (and blue) fire to rock and alternative music with the release of her single “Coming In Hot,” out now via Better Noise Records. The single is the title track of her forthcoming debut album and is available on all digital streaming and retail platforms. Listen HERE.

Swinging between an arena-filling chant and a robust and raucous riff, “it’s essentially a super fun weekend summer anthem,” says Diamante. “I picture people leaving their day jobs in the car on a Friday, cranking this, and getting ready to go nuts on the weekend. It’s also a metaphor for me coming in hot into the industry. I want to bring this style back and take over rock.”

In conjunction with the release of “Coming In Hot,” Diamante exclusively premiered the official music video for the track with Alternative Press. Filmed at a Calabasas mansion, the lighthearted, cheeky video captures Diamante and friends crashing a senior social gathering and turning it into a wild summer house party. Check out the video below!

Produced by Howard Benson [My Chemical Romance, Chris Cornell, Halestorm, Kelly Clarkson], Coming In Hot brings to light Diamante’s signature sound that she has been meticulously working at since age 13. “Diamante is the only true heir to the female rock throne that has been vacant since Joan Jett’s heyday,” says Benson. Having an edgy style, sultry vocals, and pop sensibility to her music, and drawing influences from eighties female rock icons, including Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, and Debbie Harry, the now 20-year-old singer aims to breathe new life into rock with Coming In Hot. Stay tuned for more information on the album.

As Lions Unleash Debut Album, ‘Selfish Age,’ Via Better Noise Records

As Lions Unleash Debut Album, ‘Selfish Age,’ Via Better Noise Records

UK rock band AS LIONS have today, January 20, released their debut album SELFISH AGE on Better Noise Records. The highly-anticipated worldwide release serves as the follow up to the band’s 2016 EP Aftermath and includes their latest single “Aftermath,” which is currently #1 on the SiriusXM Octane charts.  Watch the official video for the single HERE.

Produced by the acclaimed Kane Churko (Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, In This Moment), and award-winning producer David Bendeth (Of Mice & Men, Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon) Selfish Age blends hard-hitting rock with the melodic, soaring vocals of Austin Dickinson, creating a seamless album ranging in both emotion and sonic expression.

Lyrically the album draws from current matters, speaking to consumerism and the world’s image-obsessed culture, letting go of life’s burdens, and navigating the way out of disaster. “I was thinking about the idea of where we’re at in the world—where I sit and where my generation sits,” says Austin Dickinson. Take, for instance, the electro-tinged title track, “Selfish Age”: “To me it’s a song first and foremost about consumerism and this relentless taking and taking, until you realize you’ve taken so much that you’ve lost sight of what you originally set out for,” Dickinson explains. “There’s a very powerful sense in the world right now that something went wrong. We don’t know quite when or where it went wrong, but we have no idea how to turn back the clock and fix it. And I think a lot of people placate that feeling by just consuming—plugging the hole, so to speak.”

Coinciding with the album’s release, As Lions are set to embark on a spring US tour as direct support to Shinedown, followed by festival appearances at Rock On The Range, Welcome To Rockville, Northern Invasion and Carolina Rebellion —full itinerary enclosed. Tickets for the upcoming tour with Shinedown go on sale today at 10:00 AM local time and can be purchased HERE.

Since coming together in 2015, As Lions—comprised of Austin Dickinson, guitarist and keyboardist Conor O’Keefe, guitarist Will Homer, bassist Stefan Whiting and drummer Dave Fee— have played sold-out shows in their native England performing with Trivium, and recently wrapped up their US arena tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown, spanning 27 dates, including 13 sold out shows across the states. Kicking off 2017 with their eagerly awaited release and tour announcement, As Lions are prepared for a massive year ahead. For more information on the band, album and tour, visit aslionsband.com.
