Fergie To Release New Album, Double Dutchess, On September 22nd!

Eight-time GRAMMY® Award-winner and global superstar Fergie will release her highly-anticipated second full-length opus, DOUBLE DUTCHESS, along with her first visual album “experience”, Double Dutchess: Seeing Double, on September 22 via her own label Dutchess Music/BMG.

Feeding the appetites of rabid fans worldwide, she unveils not one, but two new songs from the album to hint at what’s in-store. Opener “Hungry” [feat. Rick Ross] produced by Yonni and JP Did This and co-produced by Donut, sees Fergie ravenously devour a beat before a sexy, gothic chorus accompanied by a classic Ricky Rozay cameo. See video HERE. The slick cinematic video is directed by the Brazilian artist Bruno Ilogti.

will.i.am Performs New Song “Great Times” With University of Wisconsin Marching Band

will.i.am recently joined the University of Wisconsin marching band at LA Live in Los Angeles for a performance of his new song “Great Times.” The celebration was part of the pep rallies for the 2012 Rose Bowl game between Wisconsin and Oregon, as well as the iamFIRST initiative to create awareness for will.i.am’s efforts with education. The 301 person marching band, led by Professor Michael Leckrone, chose “Great Times” for its fitting lyrics and energy. The track is the Brazilian promo single for will.i.am’s upcoming solo album, #WILLPOWER, which is due out soon.

will.i.am is also working with Ultrabook, an ultra portable laptop computer, as part of The Ultrabook Project. Using only his eyes, ears, and his Ultrabook, will.i.am will travel around the globe, writing and recording one new song inspired by each city he visits. Today, Ubisoft announced the development of The Black Eyed Peas® Experience video game, the second game in the multi-million selling ‘Experience’ franchise. The new dance game will feature fun dance moves as well as hit songs from The Black Eyed Peas multi-platinum selling albums (Interscope Records). It will be released on the Kinect™ for Microsoft Xbox 360® entertainment system and Wii™ system by Nintendo.

Their award-winning music, dance moves and artistic style will be combined into a gaming experience that will excite both fans of the group and those who enjoy playing dance titles,” said Yves Guillemot, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ubisoft. “The Black Eyed Peas are a worldwide phenomenon and Ubisoft is the worldwide leader in dance games – together we are going to make The Black Eyed Peas Experience a game that fans around the world will love.”

Ubisoft’s Experience franchise has sold more than three million copies to date by making an artist’s universe accessible to fans in an interactive and immersive game. The Black Eyed Peas Experience takes that concept even further, and features a comprehensive selection of The Black Eyed Peas’ hit music tracks as well as dance routines arranged by the group’s famed creative director and choreographer, Fatima Robinson.

In the Microsoft Xbox 360 version of the game, which Ubisoft is developing in partnership with renowned music game developers iNiS, players will control their on-screen avatar via the Kinect for Microsoft Xbox 360 entertainment system while following the dance moves of 3D avatars, including each of The Black Eyed Peas: apl.de.ap, Fergie, Taboo and will.i.am. The Wii version of The Black Eyed Peas Experience, being developed by Ubisoft Quebec and Ubisoft Paris, will feature game play comparable to Ubisoft’s Just Dance titles, where players hold a Wii Remote and follow the moves of the The Black Eyed Peas’ on-screen avatars.

UK Sensation Pixie Lott Releases New Single “Boys and Girls”

Already a massive star in her native U.K., with one million singles sold, two No. 1 hits, and three No. 1 Airplay records to her credit, soulful pop singer and actress Pixie Lott is ready to unleash her talent Stateside this summer.  Her debut U.S. single, “Boys and Girls,” is available at all digital service providers this week via Interscope Records.

The high-energy dance-pop jam “Boys and Girls” is 19-year-old Lott’s second consecutive No. 1 single in the U.K., and it’s just a taste of what’s to come when Lott releases her debut album, Turn It Up, in the U.S. in early 2011. Already certified double-platinum in the U.K., Turn It Up features Lott’s songwriting collaborations with RedOne (Lady Gaga), Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Sia), Toby Gad (Beyonce, Fergie, Cutfather and Jonas Jeburg (Kylie Minogue, Pussycat Dolls), and Kara DioGuardi.

20th Century Fox’s big screen adaptation of the classic comic strip, Marmaduke hits theaters on June 4th, 2010! To keep you entertained while waiting for this family flick to hit theaters you can check out four interactive games, “Jump and Fetch”, “Toilet B-Ball”, “Surfin’ With Marmaduke”, and “Destruction Derby”, that tie-in with the film. There is also a Jib-Jab style activity were pet enthusiasts can upload a photo of their own critter (or choose a character from the film) to “Duke Your Dog” (customize the image and add a recorded message).

Owen Wilson Joins The Cast Of ‘Marmadake’

Judy Greer, Lee Pace and William H. Macy play the humans, while Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans, Marlon Wayans supply the voices for the animated characters.

The film is being directed by Tom Dey (Failure To Launch) and the film is slated for a June 2010 release date. The film is based on the 1954 comic strip series started by Brad Anderson and Phil Leeming.

About the Film:
Inspired by 50 Cent’s latest album of the same title, Before I Self Destruct is a gritty 90-minute film, written, directed and starring Curtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent). The film is a coming of age story about an inner city youth raised by a hardworking single mother. When his dream of becoming a basketball player fails to materialize after his mother is tragically gunned down, Clarence (played by Jackson) is consumed by revenge and takes up a life of crime in order to support his younger brother.

About the album:
For the explosive Before I Self Destruct album, 50 Cent returned to working closely with Dr. Dre and Eminem as he did on Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, his first official album. With Dr. Dre and Eminem producing and guesting, Before I Self Destruct is darker and harder than 2007’s Curtis, as shown by the grimy single and video to “OK, You’re Right” (produced by Dr. Dre), which was released earlier this year. In early September, 50 released the hit single “Baby By Me” produced by Polow da Don (Fergie, T.I., Ludacris).

For a limited time, the album and movie package will also include a second DVD featuring “Two Turntables and a Microphone: The Life and Death of Jam Master Jay,” a documentary about 50 Cent’s late mentor and friend.

Before I Self Destruct continues 50 Cent’s phenomenal rise from street culture hero to pop culture icon. Both album and film will be released on Shady/Aftermath on November 23, 2009.
