The Wallflowers Announce US Tour Dates In Support of “Glad All Over”

In conjunction with the release of their new album, Glad All OverThe Wallflowers have announced that they will be hitting the road to embark on a full tour this fall. Tickets are set to go on sale this week for the 22-city outing that kicks off in San Antonio, Texas on October 6th.

In addition, the band will be making a series of TV appearances to promote the release of the album. Recently wrapping up recording in Nashville, TN at Easy Eye Sound studio, the new album and tour finds frontman Jakob Dylan joining original band membersGreg Richling (bass) and Rami Jaffee (keyboards), with The Wallflowers’ longtime guitarist Stuart Mathis and drummer Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam) rounding out the lineup.

 

Formed in Los Angeles, The Wallflowers rose to fame with their 4x platinum album Bringing Down The Horse, which featured four top charting singles including “6th Avenue Heartache,” “One Headlight,” “The Difference,” and “Three Marlenas.” The two-time Grammy Award winners went on to sell over 7 million records worldwide with a series of critically acclaimed albums before going on hiatus in 2007. During the group’s break from recording, Jakob Dylan released two solo albums, which also garnered significant praise,  2008’s Seeing Things and 2010’s Women and Country.

The Wallflowers Premiere New Video for “Reboot The Mission”

The Wallflowers have announced that the video for the band’s new single, “Reboot The Mission” premiered TODAY on VICE.com’s Noisey Music ChannelThe first single off of the band’s new album, Glad All Over, which hits stores October 2nd, is a Clash-inspired track featuring Mick Jones on vocals and guitar. The video was directed by Sam Jones and shot this month in the city where the band got their start- Los Angeles. “Reboot The Mission” features a lively group of street dancers from San Francisco (Turf Feinz) and several B Boys (Legacy, Energetic) and Krumpers (Miss Prissy, Ruin, Lil Bad Newz) from Los Angeles. The dance crews add an exciting and unexpected element to the video.

The Wallflowers Return With Highly Anticipated New Album “Glad All Over” On October 2nd!

The Wallflowers have announced their long-awaited new studio album Glad All Over will be released on October 2, 2012 by Columbia Records. The band’s new single, “Reboot The Mission,” is a Clash-inspired track with an unmistakable shuffle backbeat, featuring Mick Jones on vocals and guitar. The song will be available for FREE beginning this Tuesday, July 24th at www.thewallflowers.com. The single is set to impact radio on July 23rd.
