Drowning Pool Signs With eOne Music, To Release New LP In 2016

Platinum selling metal act DROWNING POOL has announced a worldwide deal with eOne Music and plans to release a new LP next year. “We are truly honored to be part of the eOne family,” says the band. “We would like to thank eOne for not only their support, but also for allowing us the autonomy to make the record we envision.” The yet to be titled new record will be the band’s follow up to Resilience, released in 2013.

The band is currently in the studio with renowned producer Jason Suecof (AUGUST BURNS RED, DEICIDE, DEATH ANGEL) and will wrap production this fall. “We are excited to welcome Drowning Pool to the growing roster of bands at eOne,” says eOne VP of Metal/Rock Scott Givens. “I’m personally looking forward to unleashing the band’s new single later this year.”

Drowning Pool have beaten the darkness and now they celebrate life on life’s terms. The core trio of C.J. Pierce (guitar), Stevie Benton (bass) and Mike Luce (drums) mine hardship, struggle and disappointment to emerge victorious each time, crafting empowering hard rock anthems. Drowning Pool songs conjure emotions that deeply connect with those who persevere against the odds and sacrifice to survive, and their music transcends boundaries of race, class and lifestyle as well, resonating with people from all walks of life who look to music to get them through life’s challenges.

Jason Moreno’s powerful vocals enabled him to quickly master Drowning Pool’s dense catalog when he became the band’s frontman in 2012. From his reverent delivery of the late Dave Williams mosh-pit ready lyrics in the ubiquitous signature hit “Bodies,” to his powerful take on Top 5 Active Rock hits like “Step Up” from Desensitized (2004), “37 Stitches” from Full Circle (2007), and “Feel Like I Do” (Drowning Pool, 2010).

Moreno injects fresh life into the songs with his unique stamp. As Revolver Magazine noted in their review of Resilience: “Drowning Pool continue to produce consistently killer albums with an unmistakable sound.”

Drowning Pool is: C.J. Pierce – Stevie Benton – Mike Luce – Jasen Moreno

Drowning Pool Release New Video For “Saturday Night”, Announce New Album

Drowning Pool Release New Video For “Saturday Night”, Announce New Album

Drowning Pool

All-American anthemic rockers Drowning Pool have confirmed a new album to be released in Spring 2013.  Today, the video for the album’s lead single, “Saturday Night” isexclusively premiering on VEVO and the song is for purchase on iTunes.

Earlier this year, it was announced that fellow Texan Jasen Moreno was selected as the band’s new singer. Moreno joined Drowning Pool following the departure of their former lead singer. The band’s fifth album and first with Moreno was produced by Kato Khandwala (Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) at House of Loud Studios in New Jersey as well as John Feldmann (Papa Roach, Escape The Fate, The Used).

Not only is the adrenaline-inducing video for “Saturday Night” the first look at Moreno as lead man, it’s a rebel rousing point-of-view following one man’s eventful evening and includes Drowning Pool fans. The band called out to fans via Facebook and included them in the performance footage as well as the motel party scene. The video was produced and directed by the young up and comers, Jon Bertorelli (Director) Daniel Livschultz (Producer) of Vulpine Films.

Bassist Stevie Benton says, “Saturday Night is a song about squeezing the most out of every single day of your life. It’s about enjoying yourself and not apologizing for a damn thing. The video follows an average guy in his quest to ‘party like a rock star.’

The next time you are sitting around doing nothing, we hope this song inspires you to make something happen.”

The band will also be performing a handful of shows in the very near future. For a list of upcoming tour dates, please see below.

Film Festival.

Drowning Pool Names Jasen Moreno As New Frontman

Drowning Pool Names Jasen Moreno As New Frontman

All-American anthemic rockers Drowning Pool have confirmed, after much speculation, that fellow Texan Jasen Moreno is their new lead singer. Moreno, who is currently on tour with the band, joined Drowning Pool early this Spring, following the departure of their former lead singer. In an exclusive interview in the September 2012 issue of Guitar World magazine, guitarist C.J. Pierce explains, “Jasen came up in the same Dallas scene as us… We brought him in to sing, and he nailed it.”

Moreno said, “I am extremely happy and very grateful to be a part of the Drowning Pool family. Everyone’s been so welcoming, especially the fans. I can’t praise them enough. They’ve made me feel right at home. This first run of live shows couldn’t have gone any better!”

Pierce adds, “It’s been a pleasure working with Jasen. He’s everything we hoped for in a singer and he jumped right in, stepped up to the plate and got straight to work. Jasen has brought not only a new voice but a new fire to the Drowning Pool sound and we can’t wait to share the new music with everyone.”

Drowning Pool turned the world into believers with their breakthrough single “Bodies” in 2001. Ten years, four singers and four albums later, they’re giving fans a new reason to believe.  “Feel Like I Do,” the lead single from their self-titled fourth studio release [Eleven Seven Music], became the band’s biggest radio hit to date, reaching No. 2 at Active Rock Radio, and remaining in the Top 5 for 12-weeks.  With 2009’s “37 Stitches” off of Full Circle reaching #4 at Active Rock and “Feel Like I Do,” the band had 2 consecutive Top 5 Active Rock smashes and cemented their place as one of the top hard rock acts today. Film Festival.

Drowning Pool’s fifth album and their first with Moreno is due out early 2013. The band teamed up with producer Kato Khandwalla at House of Loud Studios in New Jersey earlier this year, and will be finishing the album in Dallas.
