A few months ago, we told you about a great mashup album from Max Tannone (formerly Minty Fresh Beats) that combined the powers of two musical juggernauts, Jay-Z and Radiohead. Minty Fresh premiered the Jaydiohead mash on his MySpace page on December 30, 2008 and the musical phenomenon quickly spread across file-sharing sites and message boards worldwide.
The original ten track LP included such tracks as 99 Anthems, Paranoid Android, No Karma, Dirt Off Your Android and Fall In Step.He followed that outing up with “Jaydiohead: The Encore” which featured five all-new tracks.
Tannone shows no signs of slowing down as he has been hard at work in the studio working on a new creation, ‘Beastie Boys – Doublecheck Your Head.’
Fans of Max Tannone and the Beastie Boys can go to www.doublecheckyourhead.com to check out the album via stream or free download.
Tannone had this to say about his latest creation:
“I made the project in support of the Beastie Boys recent reissue of their “Check Your Head” album (one of my personal favorites.) The concept is that the Beastie Boys are mashed up with themselves, rapping over tracks sampling their own instrumentals, with all vocals and sampled elements coming from “Check Your Head.”
