Classic Rock Legends Foreigner Announce Massive Reunion Concert

Foreigner is ready to rock audiences in 2018!

“I Want To Know What Love Is.” “Cold As Ice.” “Hot Blooded.” “Juke Box Hero.” FOREIGNER, the band behind these classic and iconic songs, recently kicked off their 29-city “Juke Box Heroes“ tour as they rock  across the US with one of the hottest Live Nation tours of the summer. Last night in Syracuse, New York, history was made after FOREIGNER  – Mick Jones (lead guitar), Kelly Hansen (lead vocals), Tom Gimbel (rhythm guitar, sax, vocals), Jeff Pilson (bass, vocals), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar) and Chris Frazier (drums) – played the latest stop on their “Juke Box Heroes” tour.

Here, founding member Mick Jones and Kelly Hansen shared a historic announcement – FOREIGNER’s first-ever ticketed reunion concert featuring all original members will take place on August 4, 2018 at The Sturgis Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota. Here, Lou Gramm, Dennis Elliott, Al Greenwood, Ian McDonald and Rick Wills will join Mick Jones and FOREIGNER to rock through some of the best-selling songs from the band’s 10 multi-platinum albums and 40 years of enduring top ten hits. While FOREIGNER’s original members have joined the band for surprise appearances in the past, never before have they announced a ticketed reunion where fans can join in for the ultimate soundtrack of summer. For tickets to FOREIGNER’s performance on Chip’s Wolfman Jack Stage as part of the 9-day annual event known as “The Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling,”® please visit www.buffalochip.com.

Says Mick Jones, “It’s been incredible to have Lou, Dennis, Al, Ian and Rick join us for some surprise appearances throughout the past few years. It always brings back special memories. But now, for the first time, we are letting our fans know we’ll be making history together at The Buffalo Chip on August 4th with a FOREIGNER reunion concert, and we hope they’ll come on down to Sturgis and join us!”

This announcement comes on the heels of the 40th Anniversary of FOREIGNER’s best-selling album, Double Vision, and the band is working on a very special release to celebrate the momentous occasion.

FOREIGNER is also charting new territory on the album charts, as their latest album, Foreigner with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus has topped the Billboard Classical Album Chart for multiple weeks, and continues to sell out tour dates across the world. This album has also inspired a new 60-minute concert special airing on PBS TV stations across the country in June and July; FOREIGNER LIVE AT THE SYMPHONY. Please check local PBS listings for air dates in your city.

‘Juke Box Heroes Tour’ To Feature Foreigner, Whitesnake and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening!

Foreigner is ready to rock audiences around the nation in 2018!

Legendary rockers FOREIGNER, WHITESNAKE and JASON BONHAM’S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING, are getting into the holiday gift-giving spirit early with the announcement of their 2018 29-city summer “Juke Box Heroes Tour,” produced by Live Nation. Nothing warms up the chilly holiday season like the promise of a hot summer tour, and concert tickets make the perfect gift.

The legendary artists will cross the U.S. starting Friday, June 15, 2018 in Bangor, ME at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion.  All three bands are led by Englishmen Mick Jones, David Coverdale and Jason Bonham who are part of the fabric of British rock, and will bring a summer of great music across the country. Foreigner’s 40th Anniversary tour was one of last summer’s best selling runs.

Tickets for the “Juke Box Heroes Tour” go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, December 8th at 10am local time at LiveNation.com. Tickets for Foreigner VIP packages including Meet & Greets with the band will be available at ForeignerVIP.com.

Citi® is the official presale credit card for the “Juke Box Heroes Tour.” As such, Citi® cardmembers will have access to purchase  presale tickets beginning Tuesday, December 5th at 10am local time until Thursday, December 7th at 10pm local time through Citi’s Private Pass® program. For complete presale details visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

“I’m excited to join forces with my fellow U.K. countrymen, David Coverdale and Jason Bonham, for what’s sure to be a rockin’ summer tour in the States,” says FOREIGNER founding member and lead guitarist Mick Jones.

As Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale says, “We are truly excited and looking forward to playing in 2018 with our friends, Foreigner and Jason Bonham, on their North American tour.”

Says Jason Bonham, “Being part of Foreigner’s 40th Anniversary Tour last summer was wonderful. Opening a show like that was very special to me, so when Mick asked if I’d do it again in 2018, I said yes without hesitation. I’m excited that Whitesnake will be filling out the middle slot this time as I’ve known David since I was 14 years old. It’s going to be a WHOLE LOTTA FUN!”

Since the 1977 release of their first hit “Feels Like The First Time” and their self-titled debut album on Atlantic Records, FOREIGNER has been universally hailed as one of the world’s most popular rock acts with 10 multi-Platinum albums, 16 Top 30 hits, and worldwide album sales exceeding 75 million.  Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold as Ice,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will,” and the worldwide #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” FOREIGNER continues to rock the charts forty years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard “Top 200 Albums” chart success.  FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time” listing.  Catalog sales often eclipse those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers.  (Source: Nielsen SoundScan week ending 8/3/17). FOREIGNER’s catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time ahead of Britney Spears, Bob Dylan, Phil Collins, Prince, Queen, and Bon Jovi.

Throughout this tour, FOREIGNER will continue their long-standing partnership with The GRAMMY Museum, by which local school choirs are invited to join the band on stage in almost every market they play. Through this program over the past several years, the band has raised well into the six figures for music in school programs, and given thousands of students a life-changing experience to rock on stage with one of the most well known bands of all time.

The band recently released a celebratory 40th anniversary album that features 40 tracks tracing their distinguished career. Entitled 40, the album is a comprehensive compilation of original hits and several tracks from the current lineup, with Kelly Hansen on vocals. All tracks were recorded between 1977 and 2017. The current line-up  is Mick Jones (lead guitar), Kelly Hansen (lead vocals), Jeff Pilson (bass, vocals), Tom Gimbel (rhythm guitar, saxophone, vocals), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar), and Chris Frazier (drums).

Founded in 1978 by former Deep Purple singer David Coverdale, WHITESNAKE has earned multi-Platinum status for numerous albums, including TROUBLELOVEHUNTERREADY AND WILLING and COME AN’ GET IT, as well as the album that introduced the explosive hard rock revamped WHITESNAKE sound with SLIDE IT IN. The band is currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1987’s self-titled multi-Platinum smash hit album, WHITESNAKE.  From these albums came multiple Top 10 hits worldwide, including two #1 singles with “Here I Go Again” and “Is This Love,” as well as the unforgettable hammer of “Still Of The Night,” all leading to virtual 24-hour domination of MTV around the globe. Bombast, bravado, talent and passion have helped establish WHITESNAKE as the perennial platinum favorite they have become and they’re back with a vengeance in 2018.  The world-renowned group featuring David Coverdale (vocals), Reb Beach (guitar), Joel Hoekstra (guitar), Michael Devin (bass), Tommy Aldridge (drums) and Michele Luppi (keyboards) are currently in the studio recording their tentatively titled new studio album FLESH & BLOOD.

Following his participation in the monumental reunion of Led Zeppelin at London’s O2 arena in 2007, drummer Jason Bonham decided to take the music his father was such a huge part of out on the road. The result became Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening. Best described as a band that perfectly recreates the music of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening not only celebrates one of music’s most iconic bands but also the life of Bonham’s late father, who died in 1980.

When asked why he decided to start the project, Jason said, “It was medicine to relieve myself from the amount of Led Zeppelin that I had studied and rehearsed prior to the O2 show and then dealing with the realization that it wasn’t going to go anywhere beyond that one concert. It originally began as me just wanting to put together a show, but once I realized I could make it more than just the music it became something more. It gave me the opportunity to give a little nod to what everyone knows about my dad’s wild side but also show his sensitive side as well. For me, he was always dad at home and this was an idea to show a deeper side of that.”

Check out the tour at any of the following stops, with more dates to be announced in the coming weeks and posted on FOREIGNER‘s official website. Fans can also check out livenation.com for updates on tour dates and news.

Foreigner Announces 40th Anniversary Tour with Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham

Foreigner Announces 40th Anniversary Tour with Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham

“I Want To Know What Love Is.” “Cold As Ice.” “Hot Blooded.” “Juke Box Hero.”

FOREIGNER, the band behind these classic and iconic songs, is turning 40 this year and they’re bringing their friends along for the year-long celebration.

First up is a mammoth worldwide tour, set to launch in Syracuse, NY on July 11th. For the US shows presented by Live Nation, Foreigner will be alongside Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick — who are also celebrating 40 years since the release of their self-titled debut album — and special guest Jason Bonham who will be bringing the music of Led Zeppelin to great night of rock ’n’ roll. Tickets go on sale January 13, 2017 at www.livenation.com.

“I never could have imagined when I set out to create Foreigner forty years ago, that we’d still be touring around the world and performing the music we love all these years later,” says founding member and lead guitarist Mick Jones. “I can’t express the gratitude I feel when fans share stories of how our songs have been woven into their milestones and memories over the years. This summer we are going to celebrate these songs, and I can’t imagine a better group of friends to share this monumental tour with, than Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham who are sure to make it a true tribute to the everlasting power of rock and roll.”

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, CHEAP TRICK is undoubtedly one of the most influential classic rock groups of the past 50 years. They have performed over 5,000 shows spanning four decades and have sold 20 million records worldwide. CHEAP TRICK formed in 1974 and while they have evolved throughout the years, the band continues to reach mainstream and critical success. Hits such as “I Want You To Want Me,” “Dream Police,” and “Surrender” have cemented the group as one of America’s top rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time. In 2016, CHEAP TRICK released its 17th studio collection, Bang Zoom Crazy…Hello

“I was thrilled to hear Mick Jones wanted me to be involved in celebrating 40 years of Foreigner. I spent 3 years as their drummer and had a great time,” says Jason Bonham. “Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience show will hit home run after home run with these timeless classics done to perfection. JBLZE started 7 years ago as a way to show my appreciation not only to my dad and the music of Led Zeppelin, but also to the fans themselves. With the amazing Cheap Trick along with the one and only Foreigner this is show not to be missed.”

To coincide with the tour, FOREIGNER–Mick Jones (lead guitar), Kelly Hansen (lead vocals), Jeff Pilson (bass, vocals), Tom Gimbel (rhythm guitar, sax, vocals), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar) and Chris Frazier (drums)– will be releasing a celebratory 40th anniversary album that features forty FOREIGNER tracks throughout the years entitled 40 – Forty Hits From Forty Years (RHINO). This album is a comprehensive compilation of original hits and several tracks from the current lineup with Kelly Hansen on vocals including “Cant Slow Down,” “Too Late,” and the Top 20 AC hit “When It Comes To Love.” The album also features two new songs, “The Flame Still Burns,” and “Give My Life For Love,” a brand new song by Jones. Rhino is kicking off a year-long catalog promotion with the January 24th picture disc release of Head Games.

Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold as Ice,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will,” “Dirty White Boy,” “Long, Long Way From Home,” and the worldwide #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” FOREIGNER continues to rock the charts more than thirty years into the game.

Recent albums like Juke Box Heroes, a new compilation of digitally recorded Foreigner hits, and The Best of Foreigner 4 & More, recorded live from The Borgata, Atlantic City, both entered the Billboard Top 200 chart. Foreigner also featured strongly in every category in Billboard’s recently released “Greatest of All Time” listing.  Catalog sales often eclipse those of Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source: Nielsen SoundScan 2/11/16 – 2/3/16).

Foreigner’s First Ever Biography, ‘A Foreigner’s Tale,’ To Be Released in 2017

Foreigner’s First Ever Biography, ‘A Foreigner’s Tale,’ To Be Released in 2017

Legendary rockers FOREIGNER have been universally hailed as one of the world’s most popular rock acts with 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits that continue to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 75 million. Now they’re getting ready to embark on a brand new journey into the literary world with A Foreigner’s Tale, the band’s first-ever official biography that will be available in various formats, including a limited edition.

Produced in conjunction with Rocket 88 Books, it tells the story of FOREIGNER in the words of founder, guitarist and producer Mick Jones. It will only be sold via Foreignerbook.com where fans can register their interest in the book NOW and be sure of getting a copy when it is published in 2017. Registration is not a commitment to buy, but will ensure fans get the information on the book first, a pre-order discount and the chance to have their name printed in the book.

Sumptuously illustrated throughout, A Foreigner’s Tale tells the story of how FOREIGNER became one of the world’s most successful rock acts, and also traces Jones’ personal and musical path to forming the band, from his childhood in England in the 1950s through to present day. He tells funny, revealing and intriguing stories, beginning with his remarkable early musical career with Nero and the Gladiators in London, and in France with Sylvie Vartan and Johnny Hallyday in the 1960s (including a tour with the Beatles). From there, he describes working with some great musicians (among them George Harrison and Jimmy Page) before joining Leslie West and then Spooky Tooth in New York – where Foreigner first took shape. Rare, early, personal, candid, studio and live photographs illuminate this extraordinary story, along with FOREIGNER artwork, memorabilia and Jones’ personal record and guitar collection.

Coinciding with the release of A Foreigner’s Tale, FOREIGNER–Mick Jones (lead guitar), Kelly Hansen (lead vocals), Jeff Pilson (bass, vocals), Tom Gimbel (rhythm guitar, sax, vocals), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar) and Chris Frazier (drums)—will head out on a world tour throughout 2017 in celebration of their 40 years as a recording, touring band. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Rolling Stones: Rock Legends Reveal Dates For 2013 ’50 And Counting’ Tour

The Rolling Stones: Rock Legends Reveal Dates For 2013 ’50 And Counting’ Tour

Headed Your Way In 2013!

Headed Your Way In 2013!

Legendary rockers THE ROLLING STONES, who rocked London and New York in 2012, announced today that they will kick off their 50 And Counting tour in Los Angeles at the Staples Center (date TBA pending NBA/NHL playoff schedules.) The tour debut will be followed by performances in Oakland, San Jose, Las Vegas, Anaheim, Toronto, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia. The band will also return to London’s Hyde Park on July 6th, almost 44 years to the day of their first show at the Royal Park.

50 And Counting continues the exhilarating celebration of the band’s first 50 years – five decades of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood bringing their iconic music and ground-breaking stage shows to audiences around the globe.

The Rolling Stones were recently crowned the ‘Best Live Band’ at the NME Awards in London, and over the past 12 months have thrilled fans with their release of a greatest hits collection, GRRR!, a groundbreaking documentary film Crossfire Hurricane, a photographic book Rolling Stones: 50, and have taken the stage by storm for their first live shows in many years. The tour is the band’s highly anticipated return to the stage.

“50 And Counting has been pretty amazing so far,” said Jagger. “We did a few shows in London and New York last year… and had such a good time that we thought… let’s do some more. It’s a good show. Lots of the classic stuff everyone wants to hear… with a few little gems tucked in here and there. The stage is shaped like lips and goes off into the venue so I get to run around in the crowd. It’s great fun to be able to get that close to the audience.”

“From day one at rehearsals it sounded so fresh. You could tell that everybody was dying to get their teeth into it. It was like… open the gates… let us out!” said Richards. “Cause man, it is the life and blood of us to play in front of people.”

Tickets for Oakland, San Jose, Toronto and Chicago go on sale beginning Monday, April 8th at 10 AM local time and will be available at Rollingstones.com.

Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning April 5th at 10 AM local time through Citi’s Private Pass Program. For complete presale details visit Citiprivatepass.com.

“Our mission is to offer Citi cardmembers more access to the music and entertainment they love, and the Rolling Stones have been a soundtrack for the life experiences of so many,” said Jennifer Breithaupt, SVP of Entertainment Marketing at Citi. “We are thrilled to be providing exclusive presales and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for Citi cardmembers to see one of the most iconic bands in history perform live.”

Mick Taylor, who was a member of the Rolling Stones from 1969-74, will be a special guest throughout the tour.

The band will treat their generations of fans to an evening of classic Stones hits like ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Paint It Black’, ‘Jumping Jack Flash’, ‘Tumbling Dice’, and ‘It’s Only Rock and Roll’, curated with lesser known gems, and a cover or two.

The stage design for the tour is based on the band’s ubiquitous tongue and lips logo, which extends out into the crowd, allowing the Stones to interact directly with their audience. Known for their ground-breaking sets and use of cutting-edge technology, the Stones’ set design will feature video screens and special effects that will enhance the high-octane experience of attending a live Stones’ show.
