Seether Announce Tour Dates For ‘Poison the Parish’ World Tour

Seether Announce Tour Dates For ‘Poison the Parish’ World Tour

Seether (Shaun Morgan — vocals/guitar, Dale Stewart — bass/vocals, and John Humphrey — drums) have revealed details for the Poison the Parish World Tour, which includes headline shows and major festival appearances throughout the spring and summer of 2017. The extensive touring plans come in support of Poison the Parish, their recently announced seventh studio album, set for release via Canine Riot Records on May 12, 2017.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 3 at 10AM local time. Every ticket order will include a physical copy of Poison the Parish. Ticket and VIP package information can be found at here.

A portion of all tickets sold for the Poison the Parish World Tour will benefit the Rise Above Fund, which is a subset of Suicide Awareness Voices of Education, the largest suicide prevention organization in the country and the band’s partner on the Rise Above Fest.

Now in its fifth year, Rise Above Fest has expanded to two days, Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Darling’s Waterfront Park in Bangor, Maine. Performers include Korn, Shinedown, Stone Sour, Skillet, Halestorm, Falling in Reverse and more. For RAF tickets and information, visit Rise Above Fest.

Guitarist Clint Lowery of Sevendust will augment the band’s line-up throughout the upcoming trek, adding his signature axe-work to Seether’s new songs and deep repertoire.

Support acts for the tour include: Letters From the Fire (May 2 through May 27; July 16 through August 20), Through Fire (June 1 through June 7), Kaleido
(May 2 through June 10)and Big Story (from July 16 through August 20).

“Goddamn, it’s good to be back!,” says Morgan. “We spent the better part of a year writing and recording Poison the Parish, and now it’s time to get out there and play that fucker to the fans. We’ve been working on some upgrades to the production and the live sound, which includes welcoming our brother, Clint Lowery (from fucking Sevendust!) into the fold to help us thicken up that live sound experience.

“We want this tour to be exciting and different — a departure from what people expect from us, while retaining the qualities that make us unique, in order to entertain the fans. It’s going to be loud, heavy, old school Seether with a couple of twists thrown in to keep things exciting.”

Recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, Poison the Parish marks the first album produced in its entirety by Morgan and is also the first release on Canine Riot Records, his new label imprint via Concord Records. The album’s epic lead single “Let You Down,” premiered last week; listen to it here. Watch the track’s beautifully shot, horror-inspired video here.

Morgan captured Seether in what is surely one of the heaviest and most emotionally pure efforts of the band’s illustrious career. This is Seether at their very best — a gripping and self-assured affirmation of a quintessential hard rock band in peak form.

Seether’s 2017 international tour dates will be announced soon.

MONSTER ENERGY AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL 2015: Artist Lineup Announced!

MONSTER ENERGY AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL 2015: Artist Lineup Announced!

Aftershock Festival 2015

Aftershock Festival 2015

The fourth annual Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK Festival will feature a spectacular music lineup of hard rock, alternative and metal artists, as well as an expanded festival site with onsite camping Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 at its new home at Gibson Ranch just outside Sacramento, CA. In addition, the festival will feature live, in-ring matches with WWE’s NXT Superstars.

The band lineup for Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK 2015 includes Slipknot, Faith No More, Deftones, Shinedown, Jane’s Addiction, Marilyn Manson, Coheed & Cambria, Stone Temple Pilots, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens, Eagles of Death Metal, Black Veil Brides, and many more performing on four stages. See below for the band lineup by day.

Corey Taylor of Slipknot says, “We are really looking forward to playing AFTERSHOCK in Sacramento! A lot of great bands–can’t wait to see everyone, from Manson to Clutch. Sacramento won’t know what hit it when me and my friends are through.”

Deftones’ Chino Moreno says, “We’re looking forward to being one of the headliners at AFTERSHOCK this year and performing in our hometown.  It’s always special to return to the city that made us.”

In addition to music performances, Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK will feature live, in-ring matches with WWE’s NXT Superstars.  NXT is WWE’s developmental division based out of the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Over the past two years, NXT has grown into one of the hottest sports entertainment brands in the world, featuring incredible athleticism and compelling storylines that can be seen every Wednesday night at 8 PM ET on the award-winning WWE Network.

A special “Pre-Shock” discounted Weekend Ticket pre-sale for Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK will begin on Wednesday, May 27 at 10:00 AM PT and run through Sunday, May 31 at 11:59pm PT (or when pre-sale tickets sell out) at www.AFTERSHOCKConcert.com/Tickets, with regularly priced tickets going on sale Monday, June 1. See below for more details.

The daily band lineup for Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK is as follows:

Saturday, October 24: Slipknot, Shinedown, Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Bring Me The Horizon, Black Veil Brides, Clutch, Hollywood Undead, P.O.D., Sevendust, Pop Evil, All That Remains, Helmet, Snot, Beartooth, Turbowolf, Art of Dying, Temperance Movement, Kill It Kid, Devour The Day, September Mourning, Stars In Stereo, Raveneye.

Sunday, October 25: Faith No More, Deftones, Jane’s Addiction, Stone Temple Pilots, Coheed and Cambria, All Time Low, Death From Above 1979, Eagles of Death Metal, Sleeping With Sirens, Yelawolf, Failure, Glassjaw, Suicidal Tendencies, Issues, The Sword, Highly Suspect, ’68, Red Fang, One OK Rock, Madchild, Neck Deep, Pink Slips

California’s biggest rock festival hosted over 37,000 fans in 2014 and is expanding the festival experience in 2015 to include onsite camping and the Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK Tequila World. Additional experiences include artist autograph signings at the Monster Energy Hospitality Rig, the Monster Energyviewing area with beverage sampling, Thunder Valley Casino Resort VIP Lounge, the Jack Daniel’s Experience, The Crazy Dave’s Music Experience, band autograph signings, various onsite sponsor activities, and a variety of food and beverage options, including local gourmet food trucks.

Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK producer Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents explains, “I loved Discovery Park as a venue. But after two straight years of selling out, there was no room left to grow the festival. Like Discovery Park, Gibson Ranch is a beautiful space that will keep the natural feel of the festival grounds but also gives us room to add new experiences such as camping, Tequila World and the Jack Daniel’s mobile museum. And I am particularly excited about bringing WWE’s NXT brand to AFTERSHOCK. After attending WrestleMania® last year, I knew NXT was a perfect fit. WWE has been a part of mainstream entertainment and pop culture for years and has always been connected with the world of music.  NXT’s energy is a phenomenal match for AFTERSHOCK.”

The new Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK Tequila World will feature a wide range of tequilas, extreme margaritas, gourmet tacos, mixologists and more. Tequilas that will be offered in Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK Tequila World include: Patron, Don Julio, Cuervo, El Jimador, Cabo Wabo and Espolon. Admission to this area is free and open to those 21 and up.

The Jack Daniel’s Experience mobile museum will bring a “Taste of Tennessee” to Sacramento this year. Visitors will learn who Mr. Jack Daniel was and how he ended up with the best selling whiskey in the world. Guests will also see (and smell) whiskey dripping slowly through charcoal and the new oak barrels used in maturing Tennessee’s finest whiskey.

The Crazy Dave’s Music Experience is a free, interactive “rock star” exhibit where fans can get hands-on interaction with tons of musical equipment–much of which is used by their favorite artists performing on stage at the show—and attend artist signings with members of various AFTERSHOCK bands. Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK and The Crazy Dave’s Music Experience also host a group of local music students as part of The Student Experience, which includes a backstage educational tour and participation in various contests and activities at The Crazy Dave’s Music Experience tent.

Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK generates a substantial economic impact in the Sacramento metro area. Based on economic impact studies done at other Danny Wimmer Presents festivals, event producers estimate an economic impact of over $11 million in 2015.

“The Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK Festival has proven itself as a tidal wave of economic impact for Sacramento,” said Mike Testa, COO of the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau. “It drives thousands of hotel room nights to the city and county, directly spends close to a million dollars at local businesses, and provides millions of dollars in overall economic impact to the region.”

A special “Pre-Shock” discounted Weekend Ticket pre-sale for Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK will run from Wednesday, May 27 through Sunday, May 31 (while supplies last) at www.AFTERSHOCKConcert.com/Tickets. During the pre-sale, a limited number of discounted Weekend General Admission tickets will be available for purchase. Seether To Release “Seether 2002-2013” Retrospective On October 29th

Seether To Release “Seether 2002-2013” Retrospective On October 29th

seether-2013-large

Wind-up Records will release Seether 2002-2013 on October 29, 2013 – the two-disc, 27-song career retrospective includes Seether’s 11 #1 singles, their greatest songs, three new tracks and rare b-sides.  The cover art (above) and complete track listing has been revealed (below).  The first single, “Seether,” at radio September 10, 2013, is a cover of Veruca Salt’s 1994 hit song and also where the band got its name.  This is the first time Seether has covered and recorded the song.

“13 years ago when a demo of ‘Needles’ came roaring through our speakers and tearing down our hallways, we knew greatness was at our fingertips,” said Ed Vetri, President and CEO of Wind-up Records.  “Shaun’s powerful and emotional songwriting has continued to generate that raw passion and has developed into the unmistakable sound of ‘Seether.’  After an amazing young career featuring 11 number one songs, millions of albums sold, Seether is just hitting their stride and this Greatest Hits package only represents their work so far. We had the greatness 13 years ago, now we have the hits…In typical Seether fashion, they chose to cover the song where their name was born from, seems perfect for this occasion.”

‘Seether 2002-2013’

Seether just finished playing a select number of U.S. shows this August but to celebrate their upcoming collection, Seether will embark on a unique semi-acoustic storytellers-type tour, “An Intimate Night With Seether” performing in intimate and iconic venues around the world, beginning November 5th at Union Chapel in London.  These special settings will provide Seether fans with the ultimate backdrop to experience seeing the band like never before, in some of the most beautiful venues in the world.

Seether has sold millions of albums and singles worldwide, has over 63 million YouTube views and are mainstays in the touring circuit averaging more than 275 performances per year. They have had 11 #1 singles and 17 Top 5 hits across multiple formats at radio.  Originally founded in Johannesburg, South Africa, by Shaun Morgan and Dale Stewart, Seether made its initial impact on U.S. hearts and eardrums with the Gold album Disclaimer (2002). The album’s first single, “Fine Again” was a pensive ballad that resonated with fans worldwide. Seether gained nationwide live exposure with a spot on that year’s Ozzfest tour.  Seether re-recorded the acoustic track “Broken” as an electric version featuring Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee. “Broken” became a massive international hit for the group. In 2004, Seether remixed and re-mastered Disclaimer, adding eight new songs and new cover art to create the two-disc set Disclaimer II, which is now Platinum. In 2005, Seether released Karma & Effect, which is certified Gold, approaching Platinum and followed that release up in 2006 with a live, acoustic CD/DVD, One Cold Night, which is now approaching Gold.  In 2007 Seether released the Platinum Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces. The album was reissued in 2009 with a cover of George Michael’s “Careless Whisper,” and became another Platinum single release for the band.  In 2011 Seether released Holding onto Strings Better Left to Fray.  That album is approaching Gold status.

Seether is Shaun Morgan (Vocals, Guitar), Dale Stewart (Bass, Vocals) and John Humphrey (Drums).
