Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Universal Soldier: Regeneration on 2nd February 2010.

Synopsis: When terrorists threaten nuclear catastrophe, the world’s only hope is to reactivate decommissioned Universal Soldier, Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme). Rearmed and reprogrammed, Deveraux must take on his nemesis from the original Universal Soldier (Dolph Lundgren) and a next-generation “UniSol” (Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski).

Legendary action heroes Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren first faced off way back in 1992 as Luc Deveraux and Sergent Andrew Scott in the classic action flick, Universal Soldier. Seventeen years later, the dynamic duo are reprising those roles in Universal Soldier: A New Beginning.

The new film, directed by John Hyams, wrapped principal photography in Bulgaria earlier this year.
