Entertainment icon and entrepreneur, Snoop Dogg, has officially announced the details for his first annual Snoop’s Wellness Retreat taking place April 19 in Seattle at WaMu Theater and April 20 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver. Snoop’s Wellness Retreat, where fans are invited to “Inhale. Exhale. Recharge,” was created to celebrate the legalization of the recreational use of cannabis in Washington and Denver. While Snoop’s Wellness Retreat will be anchored around a concert series by Snoop Dogg and special guests Wiz Khalifa, YG and more, fans will have the opportunity to experience the full retreat through brand partner integrations on-site as well as leading up to the actual events.

In conjunction with Snoop Dogg, Cashmere Agency, a Los Angeles based lifestyle-marketing agency, created and executed this landmark event around Snoop’s vision for the retreat. Cashmere Agency integrated event sponsors: Leafly, MMJ America, Songza and G-Pen to provide fans with a completely unique experience at the first annual Snoop’s Wellness Retreat. Snoop Dogg has been a vocal supporter of the legalization of marijuana throughout the years and alongside Cashmere Agency, has created another platform for brands and fans to celebrate the recent law changes to recreational and medicinal marijuana use.

“Snoop’s Wellness Retreat is going to be an amazing landmark event that brings Snoop’s fans together to celebrate the recent law changes,” said Ted Chung, Founder of Cashmere Agency. “Additionally, we are seeing a change across the country in how brands think about the marijuana market and wanted to create a platform for brands to intersect with an emerging consumer.”

Leafly, a leading source of information on cannabis strains and where to legally access them, has created the #MyLeaf social media contest, allowing fans the chance to become Leafly’s behind-the-scenes photographer at Snoop’s Wellness Retreat by showcasing creative support for the cannabis movement on social media and tagging @Leafly and #MyLeaf. The Grand Prize Winners – one in Denver and one in Seattle – will receive VIP press passes to capture behind-the-scenes footage of the event for Leafly, a $500 Visa card for travel costs, and personalized strain t-shirts with their favorite strain signed by Snoop.

MMJ America, the biggest cannabis dispensary group in Colorado is giving away three backstage meet and greets plus VIP tickets to Snoop’s 4/20 show at Red Rocks. Fans can enter on the MMJ America Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MMJAmerica) and at any MMJ America location.

Fans can also enter to win a VIP green room experience for Snoop’s Wellness Retreat from G-Pen, the industry leading personal vaporizer. For the fans that are unable to attend the retreat, music app Songza has curated a special “4/20 Music Moments” inspired by Snoop Dogg that will be available for fans everywhere. To compliment the 4/20 celebrations, Cashmere brought in Eat24, a food delivery app, as the official partner of the Songza 4/20 moments, offering themed “munchie” delivery to fans.

Leafly, MMJ America, G-Pen and Songza will all receive on site activations and be featured prominently throughout Snoop’s Wellness Retreat. Entertainment icon and multi-platinum artist Snoop Lion has released “No Guns Allowed,” the infectious new track from the highly anticipated reggae and dancehall influenced album REINCARNATED, out on April 23, 2013.

The album is executive produced by Diplo and the Major Lazer production team and will be released in conjunction with Berhane Sound System, Mad Decent, VICE Music, and RCA Records. The poignant new track “No Guns Allowed” is produced by Diplo and Ariel Rechtshaid (additional production by Dre Skull) and features Grammy-award winning artist Drake as well as Snoop Lion’s daughter, up-and-coming artist Cori B, with additional and background vocals by Angela Hunte and Shante Broadus, and percussion by Stewart Copeland (The Police).  The track’s inspiring lyrics are helping to spread the message of non-violence and the importance of unity and peace – which underscores the entire REINCARNATED project.

Snoop Lion debuted “No Guns Allowed” on national TV last week alongside his daughter Cori B on CONAN and has also appeared on CNN’s Piers MorganThe Tavis Smiley Show and Real Time with Bill Maher to speak out on the importance of non-violence in today’s society.
