The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The first photo  of Rooney Mara (The Social Network) as Lisbeth Salander in director David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo from W magazine (via JoBlo) have hit the web.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is based on Stieg Larsson’s posthumously published crime thriller trilogy, “The Millennium Series.” The book describes the mystery surrounding the long-unsolved disappearance of an heiress. A journalist recently dinged by a libel case and a young female hacker try to resolve it, stirring up bundles of personal and industrial corruption along the way. Rooney Mara stars with Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgard, Robin Wright, Max von Sydow, Christopher Plummer, Joely Richardson, Steven Berkoff, David Dencik and Alexandra Daddario.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is slated to hit theaters on December 21.

Marvel Studios has released a new theatrical trailer from their upcoming film ‘Thor’. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba and Rene Russo. ‘Thor’ is currently slated for a May 6, 2011 release.

As we gear up for Comic Con, the images of some of the most highly anticipated films are starting to trickle in. More official photos from Thor have surfaced. The latest give us another look at Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Chris Hemsworth as the title character. Check out the photos below!

Marvel films has announced that both Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger will be in 3D and will use the conversion process rather than being shot specifically for 3D.

Marvel Studios will present the first look at the film to the public at Comic Con on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 in Hall H.
