Summit Entertainment has announced that The Twilight Saga: New Moon will hit DVD and Blu-ray on Saturday, March 20th, 2010. Check out the full details below.
One of the most talked about films of 2009, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, will be released on a Two-Disc Special Edition DVD and Special Edition Blu-ray on March 20, 2010 – a Saturday street date that will allow for fans across the nation to celebrate at retailer’s midnight release parties before taking home the film at 12:01 a.m.
Already a worldwide literary phenomenon, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, a post modern Romeo and Juliet story filled with action, suspense and the supernatural, took in an estimated $300 million domestic at the theatrical box office and had the third largest opening weekend box office in movie history at $142 million.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon Two-Disc Special Edition DVD has a suggested retail price of $32.99, while the Special Edition Blu-ray is set at $34.99. Both are packed with bonus features that are sure to please even the most-hard core fans, including a revealing Audio Commentary with Director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert; a riveting 6-part documentary that takes you behind the scenes; exclusive band rehearsal footage with Muse; and music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Mute Math.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Michael Sheen and Anna Kendrick. Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone and Kellan Lutz return to their roles in the Cullen family.
SYNOPSIS:
In the second chapter of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling Twilight series, the romance between mortal Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) grows more intense as ancient secrets threaten to destroy them. When Edward leaves in order to keep Bella safe, she tests fate in increasingly reckless ways in order to glimpse her love once more. But when she’s saved from the brink by her friend, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), Bella will uncover mysteries of the supernatural world that will put her in more peril than ever before.

The stars aligned last night (October 17th, 2009) for Spike TV’s “SCREAM 2009!” The 4th annual event commemorating all things sci-fi, fantasy, horror and comic book will feature the hottest films, TV shows, comics, actors, creators, and icons who have influenced and shaped these genres.
The will premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT). ”SCREAM 2009″ will also feature World Premieres from some of the most anticipated theatrical and television releases. Read on for the winners…

The release date for ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ has been pushed up a week, to October 16th, 2009. The change is due, according to label Chop Shop/Atlantic, “to overwhelming and unprecedented demand.” The original release date was slated for October 20th, 2009.

‘New Moon’ is currently slated for a November 20th, 2009 release. ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse,’ the third film, will begin shooting in Vancouver, Canada on August 17th, 2009. The shoot is scheduled to run until October 31st, 2009. The third film in the francise currently is slated for a June 30, 2010 release.

The show tapes on Saturday, October 17 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and will premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT).
Continuing its tradition of presenting World Premiere footage, “SCREAM 2009″ will feature “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner as he unveils exclusive footage from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” The show will also feature never-before-seen content from the upcoming “Star Trek” DVD release. “SCREAM 2009″ will debut exclusive content from Martin Scorsese’s upcoming thriller “Shutter Island” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. “SCREAM 2009″ will also show a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated new television series “V” with Elizabeth Mitchell.
As previously announced, “SCREAM 2009″ will honor the godfather of the modern horror film, George Romero with this year’s Scream Mastermind Award. Quentin Tarantino has been tapped to present Romero with this prestigious honor. In addition, the cast of “The Big Bang Theory” including Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar will be on hand to present the “Battlestar Galactica” cast reunion farewell tribute.

JJ Abrams’ sci-fi action-adventure “Star Trek” tops the “SCREAM 2009″ list with 17 nominations including the categories of The Ultimate Scream, Best Science Fiction Movie, Best Director, Best Ensemble, Holy Sh*t Scene-of-the-Year and a nod in the all-new Fight-Scene-of-the-Year category. Comic book-inspired blockbusters “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and “Watchmen” each nabbed 13 nominations, big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s best selling novel “Twilight” received 10 nominations, while HBO’s vampire-themed television series “True Blood” garnered nine nominations.
