50 Cent‘s fourth studio album, Before I Self Destruct, will be released exclusively on the iTunes Store on November 9th at 12:00AM EST (midnight, Sunday night).
The album will be available exclusively on the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com) until its November 16 street date.
Selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, 50 Cent continues his phenomenal rise from street culture hero to pop culture icon.
About the album:
For the explosive Before I Self Destruct album, 50 Cent returned to working closely with Dr. Dre and Eminem as he did on Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, his first official album. With Dr. Dre and Eminem producing and guesting, Before I Self Destruct is darker and harder than 2007′s Curtis, as shown by the grimy single and video to “OK, You’re Right” (produced by Dr. Dre), which was released earlier this year. In early September, 50 released the hit single “Baby By Me” produced by Polow da Don (Fergie, T.I., Ludacris).

About the Film:
Inspired by 50 Cent’s latest album of the same title, Before I Self Destruct is a gritty 90-minute film, written, directed and starring Curtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent). The film is a coming of age story about an inner city youth raised by a hardworking single mother. When his dream of becoming a basketball player fails to materialize after his mother is tragically gunned down, Clarence (played by Jackson) is consumed by revenge and takes up a life of crime in order to support his younger brother.

Dr. Dre is being the “Axl Rose of Hip Hop” in more ways than one. Aside from the having an album in the works for years, it seems that much like Guns N’ Roses highly anticipated ‘Chinese Democracy’ album, Dr. Dre’s ‘Detox’ has also become the victim of internet leaks. A new song from Dr. Dre called “Topless” hit the internet and radio waves today. DJ Envy of New York’s hip-hop radio station Hot 97, played a song called “Topless.” The song featured Nas and T.I. and it appear that Dr. Dre’s tracks had yet to be layed down.
A few weeks ago, another leaked song Dre was involved with hit the web. When “Crack a Bottle” hit mixtapes, people wondered whether it would be on Detox or Eminem’s upcoming Relapse. Ultimately, that track will appear on 50 Cent‘s ‘Before I Self Destruct.’

Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, T.I., Kanye West and Jay-Z will all perform at this year’s Grammys ceremony, the awards show revealed this morning. The biggest coup is the addition of Radiohead, who have never played the event despite Best Alternative Album wins for OK Computer and Kid A. The band is nominated for five awards this year, including Best Album for In Rainbows. The performance will be the band’s “first live U.S. television performance since 2000.”
McCartney’s Grammys performance is a bit of a surprise, considering the former Beatle was only nominated in a pair of smaller categories. We’re not complaining though, as the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl will join Macca onstage as his “special guest drummer.”
The conglomerate of Jay-Z, Kanye West and T.I. will perform their M.I.A.-infused, Best Rap Song-nominated single “Swagga Like Us.” The trio is up for a combined 16 awards, with West and Jigga scoring six nods and T.I. grabbing four. Additionally, T.I. will perform with Justin Timberlake on an unspecified song, but we’re guessing it’s maybe the Tip/Timberlake collaboration “If I” that leaked in December. Timberlake scored a Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals nomination after helping out Madonna on “4 Minutes.”
This star-studded slate of newly announced artists join an already stacked roster of performers at the 51st annual Grammy awards, including Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Katy Perry and Kenny Chesney.
