ABC’s re-imagining of the 1980s miniseries V, which is set in the none-too-distant future when aliens rule humanity, returns to television on March 30th, 2010. A new promotional poster for the series has been released and you can check it out below!

V stars Logan Huffman as Tyler Evans, Morena Baccarin as Anna, Scott Wolf as Chad Decker, Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Laura Vandervoort as Lisa, Joel Gretsch as Father Jack, Morris Chestnut as Ryan Nichols, Michael Trucco as John May, and Lourdes Benedicto as Valerie.

Michael Trucco, who is best known for his role on Battlestar Galactica as Sam Anders, is heading to ABC’s sci-fi series V, reports TVGuide.com.

Trucco will tackle the role of the mysterious underground leader, John May, who has been mentioned in the series before.

John May has been discussed as the leader and founder of the Fifth Column, an underground group of rebel Visitors that Ryan (Morris Chestnut) and Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) have been attempting to resurrect.

Trucco is slated to appear in one episode scheduled to air April 13, 2010 on ABC.

The series also stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Lourdes Benedicto, Morena Baccarin and Scott Wolf.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Morena Baccarin shed some light on why the story of ‘V’ is ready to be retold. ”We’re all interested in life outside of Earth. We all have a fascination with what’s out there because we don’t really know. The storyline lends itself to explore a lot of things—like fear, and blind devotion and terrorism.” said Baccarin. Progress is being made on ABC’s revamp of the 1980s sci-fi series V, says the Hollywood Reporter. The network has given a pilot order to the project, which is a new take on the original miniseries, which aired on NBC and was followed by a second miniseries and short-lived ongoing series.
