FILTER Releases Video New Single “Take Me To Heaven”

Multi-Platinum rock band FILTER has just released a new video for their latest single, “Take Me To Heaven,” from their upcoming album. Crazy Eyes is due for release April 8, 2016 via Wind-up Records. The band will soon hit the road on the “Make America Hate Again” tour. Check out the single and tour dates below!

Reconstruction requires deconstruction. The institutions must be razed in order to clear space for the future to flourish. You tear down the old and build up the new. Filter founder, singer, guitarist, and producer Richard Patrick knows this dance well. It’s what established the group as a multiplatinum industrial alternative luminary, and it catalyzed their seventh full-length album, Crazy Eyes [Wind-up Records].

Following the arrival of their brash and urgent new single, “Take Me To Heaven” and album announcement via Billboard, Filter keep fans satisfied with news of a forthcoming US tour, “Make America Hate Again.” Featuring Orgy, Vampires Everywhere and Death Valley High, the tour sees frontman Richard Patrick bring Filter’s electric live show back to audiences across the country.

“Filter is the mind,” he exclaims. “It’s your interpretation or my interpretation. Our thing is to look at people’s unexplainable behavior and assess it, using sound. It’s a way to approximate the insanity of the human condition. The reason this record is so fucking heavy and strange is it’s exactly the opposite of what’s popular. It’s not pretty. It’s not cute. It’s real.”

Filter Joins Forces With PledgeMusic To Bring Fans into The Experience Of Recording Their 7th Studio Album

Filter Joins Forces With PledgeMusic To Bring Fans into The Experience Of Recording Their 7th Studio Album

filter-2015

Filter has announce that the band will be recording of their 7th studio record, on Wind-up Records and partnering with PledgeMusic.

Shoving a fist in the face of tradition has been Filter’s modus operandi since the release of their self-produced debut album, Short Bus. The album’s rough-around-the-edges production consisted of inebriated answering machine samples, lavish bass lines, and jagged guitars set to a backdrop of drum machines punctuated by the unfurling of Richard Patrick’s vocal prowess and signature roar. Patrick, Filter’s magnetic, profoundly intelligent nucleus and front-man jubilantly admits that his creative process is unorthodox, whether he’s staring down and conquering new technology or coalescing and co-conspiring with band-mates.

Says Patrick of the new record, “It’s going to be FAN-f**king-tastic! Joining up with PledgeMusic – it’s going to be amazing to work with them. I hate crowdfunding shit. I think it’s like begging, but PledgeMusic is something very different and much cooler. This isn’t crowdfunding, this is partnering up with you, getting involved with you the fan, getting involved with you the supporter of awesome music. Our fans get to ride along with us and see what it’s like for a Filter record to be made.”

Fans will be given the opportunity to purchase exclusive items such as autographed CDs and signed vinyl, your name in a special “thank you” section of the liner notes, a Skype session with Richard Patrick, a mixing mastering session and lots of other great items. They will also get exclusive access to campaign updates and videos from Patrick and the band.

Fans can go to www.pledgemusic.com/projects/filter to sign up and pledge your support.

Filter’s affiliation with the organization Stars For Stripes allowed the band the honor of entertaining US troops on military bases in Kuwait, Iraq and Cuba’s Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Patrick, a fervent supporter of the men and women serving the United States, takes immense pleasure in meeting and performing for deployed fans; he and his band-mates gained deeper insight into the lifestyle those serving face on a regular basis when the band survived rocket attacks in Kirkuk, Iraq.

The Pretty Reckless Premiere New Video For Hit Single “Heaven Knows”

The Pretty Reckless Premiere New Video For Hit Single “Heaven Knows”

The Pretty Reckless

The Pretty Reckless

As TAYLOR MOMSEN and her band THE PRETTY RECKLESS gear up for the March 18 release of their new album GOING TO HELL (Razor & Tie), the group have unveiled the rebellious video for their hit single “Heaven Knows,” which is now bulleted at #4 on RockRadio and praised as “infectious and foot-stomping’” by Noisecreep.com (12/17/13).

The striking clip was directed by Jon J and Taylor Momsen. Shot on location in Miami, the video was excutive produced by Taylor Momsen, David Sonenberg, William Derella and Erica Ramon with post-production from Rhino Studios and additional editing by Tizzy.

Check out the video for  “Heaven Knows” below and weigh in with your thoughts!

Says Taylor, “How do you sum up a song that is metaphorically speaking about everyone’s life from any general perspective on video? You understate it. We decided to film variations of all of the issues we as a people are facing, whether personal, political or social.  We took a lot of shots, each representing some social constant or emotional struggle.  Some overt, some subtle, but it’s all in there.  Everything is thrown at you from the day you’re born, you’re only chance is to think for yourself…which is not as simple as it sounds.”

GOING TO HELL is now available for pre-order on iTunes–with a special price of $7.99: http://georiot.co/PrettyReckless. The Pretty Reckless To Headline The 2014 SnoCore Tour

The Pretty Reckless To Headline The 2014 SnoCore Tour

The Pretty Reckless

The Pretty Reckless

The SnoCore Tour, a celebration of music and winter sports, is back after a two-year absence.  The tour has spanned more than fourteen years, running annually from 1996 to 2010 and was established as a way to fill the musical void during the winter months which was traditionally overlooked by other tour packages that are focused on spring and summer. In its first year, SnoCore showcased such bands as Sublime and Less Than Jake, over the years everyone from Blink-182 to Incubus to Everclear to System of a Down graced the SnoCore stage. Now, after a brief hiatus, Wind-up Records and TKO are proud to be uniting to bring SnoCore back to the winter 2014 music scene and back to its roots.

“We are thrilled to be re-launching SnoCore!” says Ed Vetri President and CEO of Wind-up Records. “This tour has been a fan favorite since it began and has always featured both established and up and coming amazing live bands.  We are looking forward to making this THE winter music event for many years to come.”

The Pretty Reckless is headlining, Heaven’s Basement, The Letter Black, Crobot plus one band chosen from the international artist platform, ReverbNation, will also play in each market. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here. Tour dates and more information is listed below.

The Pretty Reckless will release their sophomore studio album Going To Hell this March via Razor & Tie.  The band formed in 2009 and released their debut album Light Me Up in 2010 as well as a follow-up EP Hit Me Like A Man in 2012. After two years on the road supportingLight Me Up, the band has risen through rock ‘n’ roll’s ranks to become a polarizing presence. Over the course of their debut and EP, the quartet has sold over one million combined albums and digital singles and have supported Evanescence, Guns N’ Roses and Marilyn Manson on tour in addition to headline runs in both the U.S. and abroad. Momsen and her bandmates delivered nothing short of killer performances on their just-wrapped headlining North American “Going To Hell Tour” and the band will support Fall Out Boy on tour in Europe March 2014 after SnoCore wraps.  Watch the Fan Instagram video for the current single “Heaven Knows”, about to break the Rock Radio Top 20, and view the music video for “Going To Hell”, both tracks from the forthcoming album.

Heaven’s Basement have been making a name for themselves via their relentless touring and fiery live show plus music that features huge guitar riffs, killer melodies and an arena-rock sound.  Formed in the East Midlands in England, Heaven’s Basement have toured with the likes of The Pretty Reckless, Black Veil Brides, Papa Roach, Shinedown, Halestorm, Seether and more.  Kerrang declared, “Heaven’s Basement play as if their lives depend on it.  They should already be a big name – bristling riffs and jagged, riotous hooks are their poison and exceptional is not too strong a word.”  The band’s debut album, FILTHY EMPIRE, is in stores now via Red Bull Records; the first single from the album, “Fire, Fire,” cracked the Top 10 on the Active Rock Radio chart.  Heaven’s Basement’s new single, “Nothing Left To Lose,” is set to impact at Active Rock in January; the video can be seen here.  Heaven’s Basement is Aaron Buchanan (vocals), Sid Glover (guitar), Rob Ellershaw (bass), and Chris Rivers (drums).

The Letter Black burst onto the alternative rock landscape with their EP followed by the full-length debut, Hanging On By A Thread, in 2010 – now one of label Tooth & Nail’s top selling debuts in recent memory. The Letter Black has also had radio success with four radio singles from their debut, “Best of Me” (CHR No. 17), “Hanging On By A Thread” (CHR No. 23, Rock No. 6), “Believe” (Rock No. 4) and “New Fire” (Rock No. 17). Media have also gravitated to this heavy-hitting band as they have been covered in Revolver, AOL Noisecreep and AOL RadioBlog.  Tooth & Nail Records’ Pennsylvania-based rockers released their sophomore project, Rebuild in November 2013. The band is vocalist Sarah Anthony, guitarist Mark Anthony, bassist Matt Beal and drummer Taylor Carroll.

Central Pennsylvania band Crobot recently signed to Wind-up Records.  The band is currently in the studio with famed producer Machine (Clutch, Lamb of God, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes) to work on their 2014 Wind-up album release, the follow-up to their self-released debut album, The Legend of the Spaceborne Killer.  Crobot embodies a mixture of groove-heavy riff-rock that will want to make you bang your head and shake your ass.  Think of them as Wolfmother’s American cousins on acid who smell like leather and whose music scorches your ears like hot sauce to the taste.   You can’t help but feel that you are taken into another dimension and back again with the songs of Crobot.  Crobot will be on tour in select cities across the United States in 2014 with Clutch and The Sword before heading out with SnoCore.  Crobot is Brandon Yeagley (Lead Vocals, Harmonica), Chris Bishop (Guitar, Vocals), Jake Figuroa (Bass) and Paul Figuroa (Drums).

Using ReverbNation’s state-of-the-art reviewing dashboard, SnoCore will choose an up-and-coming artist to play in each market. Over three million musicians and bands use ReverbNation to manage their online presence and advance their careers through strategic industry opportunities. ReverbNation artists can submit to be selected through the opportunity listings in their free online profile here from January 29 through February 23.

Seether To Release “Seether 2002-2013” Retrospective On October 29th

Seether To Release “Seether 2002-2013” Retrospective On October 29th

seether-2013-large

Wind-up Records will release Seether 2002-2013 on October 29, 2013 – the two-disc, 27-song career retrospective includes Seether’s 11 #1 singles, their greatest songs, three new tracks and rare b-sides.  The cover art (above) and complete track listing has been revealed (below).  The first single, “Seether,” at radio September 10, 2013, is a cover of Veruca Salt’s 1994 hit song and also where the band got its name.  This is the first time Seether has covered and recorded the song.

“13 years ago when a demo of ‘Needles’ came roaring through our speakers and tearing down our hallways, we knew greatness was at our fingertips,” said Ed Vetri, President and CEO of Wind-up Records.  “Shaun’s powerful and emotional songwriting has continued to generate that raw passion and has developed into the unmistakable sound of ‘Seether.’  After an amazing young career featuring 11 number one songs, millions of albums sold, Seether is just hitting their stride and this Greatest Hits package only represents their work so far. We had the greatness 13 years ago, now we have the hits…In typical Seether fashion, they chose to cover the song where their name was born from, seems perfect for this occasion.”

'Seether 2002-2013'

‘Seether 2002-2013’

Seether just finished playing a select number of U.S. shows this August but to celebrate their upcoming collection, Seether will embark on a unique semi-acoustic storytellers-type tour, “An Intimate Night With Seether” performing in intimate and iconic venues around the world, beginning November 5th at Union Chapel in London.  These special settings will provide Seether fans with the ultimate backdrop to experience seeing the band like never before, in some of the most beautiful venues in the world.

Seether has sold millions of albums and singles worldwide, has over 63 million YouTube views and are mainstays in the touring circuit averaging more than 275 performances per year. They have had 11 #1 singles and 17 Top 5 hits across multiple formats at radio.  Originally founded in Johannesburg, South Africa, by Shaun Morgan and Dale Stewart, Seether made its initial impact on U.S. hearts and eardrums with the Gold album Disclaimer (2002). The album’s first single, “Fine Again” was a pensive ballad that resonated with fans worldwide. Seether gained nationwide live exposure with a spot on that year’s Ozzfest tour.  Seether re-recorded the acoustic track “Broken” as an electric version featuring Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee. “Broken” became a massive international hit for the group. In 2004, Seether remixed and re-mastered Disclaimer, adding eight new songs and new cover art to create the two-disc set Disclaimer II, which is now Platinum. In 2005, Seether released Karma & Effect, which is certified Gold, approaching Platinum and followed that release up in 2006 with a live, acoustic CD/DVD, One Cold Night, which is now approaching Gold.  In 2007 Seether released the Platinum Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces. The album was reissued in 2009 with a cover of George Michael’s “Careless Whisper,” and became another Platinum single release for the band.  In 2011 Seether released Holding onto Strings Better Left to Fray.  That album is approaching Gold status.

Seether is Shaun Morgan (Vocals, Guitar), Dale Stewart (Bass, Vocals) and John Humphrey (Drums).

Recorded in Los Angeles at Blue Room Studios with producer Bob Marlette, The Sun Comes Out Tonight was written and recorded by leader Richard Patrick and guitarist Jonny Radtke, as well as collaborator Marlette.

Formed in 1993, Filter has enjoyed significant success over the past two decades.  The band released their critically acclaimed first album Short Bus in 1995, a disc Rolling Stone praised as “a timely combination of grunge heat and industrial ice.” Fueled by the top 10 hit “Hey Man Nice Shot,” the album rocketed to # 3 on Billboard‘s Heatseekers Chart and went on to sell more than a million copies. They raised the bar with 1999’s Title of Record which featured the top 10 rock hit “Welcome To The Fold” along with a blockbuster crossover smash in “Take A Picture,” a song that shot to # 3 on Billboard‘s Modern Rock Chart, # 7 on its Adult Top 40 Chart and # 1 on its Dance Music/Club Play Chart. The years that followed saw the band releasing three more albums – 2002’s The Amalgamut, 2008’s Anthems For The Damned and 2010’s The Trouble with Angels, while touring the world and amassing a huge international fan base whose member’s number in the millions. Filter has also contributed songs to several blockbuster soundtracks, most recently their cover of “Happy Together” which was recently featured in the trailer of the film The Great Gatsby and has sold over 85,000 singles.
