Anchor Bay Entertainment has announced it is joining forces with the world’s fastest growing sports organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) to distribute UFC brand releases on DVD and Blu-Ray® formats. The historic UFC 100 event which took place on Saturday, July 11 will be one of the first new titles UFC and Anchor Bay will release later this year on DVD in the United States, with Canada set for DVD distribution in first quarter 2010.

Anchor Bay Entertainment will launch DVD titles of the UFC Pay-Per-View and television event within months after the initial airdate. DVDs will feature hours of riveting fight content including the main event matchup, feature fights and preliminary bouts. Most of the releases will include DVD bonus materials with behind the scene moments, weigh-in events, and other footage that takes viewers outside the Octagon™. Moving forward, UFC and Anchor Bay will release titles in Blu-Ray® format as well as DVD, incorporating even more original programming including “Best Of” compilations, fight-ending highlights and fighter profiles.
