‘The ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ has just added some new blood to its cast as an up-and-coming Australian actor named Xavier Samuel has landed the first new role. Samuel has appeared in Australian films like 2:37, Newcastle and September, in the past. Samuel will play the role of a “newborn vampire” named Riley, a good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder Bella (Kristen Stewart).
The film third film in the franchise centers around Bella (Kristen Stewart) who once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her friendship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.
‘The ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ will begin shooting in Vancouver, Canada on August 17th, 2009. The shoot is scheduled to run until October 31st, 2009. The third film in the francise currently is slated for a June 30, 2010 release.
‘New Moon’, the second film in in Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster series, is currently slated for a November 20th, 2009 release.
