Arrow In The Head has unearthed a very cool find for fans of The Lost Boys franchise. In the years following the initial release of The Lost Boys, a sequel was in the works but never got off of the ground. The Lost Boys: The Beginning was written by horror writer Eric Red (The Hitcher, Near Dark) from a story by both Eric Red and Joel Shumacher.
The film was to take place in San Francisco at the turn of the century and followed a vampire that hooks up with the five kids who were to become The Lost Boys.
Over two decades after the release of the original film, the script to the ill-fated sequel is now seeing the light of day. AITH has uploaded the script and you can check it out at this location >
The third official installment of the franchise, Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, is expected to debut sometime in 2010. The film will feature Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander reprising their roles as the legendary Frog Brothers. The film scripted by Evan Charnov and will be directed by Dario Piana (The Deaths of Ian Stone).
Official Synopsis: When veteran vampire hunter Edgar Frog finds himself destitute and almost friendless, he thinks his live has hit bottom – but wealthy vampire-romance novelist Gwen Liebling offers him a small fortune to go on the vampire hunt of a lifetime and rescue her son Peter from the Alpha Vampire D.J.Dusk. With the help of his friends Zoe, Lars and Blake, Edgar heads into a bloody battle to exterminate evil.”
