Columbia Pictures has officially fired up the sequel to ‘Ghost Rider’. Variety reports that Nicholas Cage is reportedly in talks with the studio to reprise his role as the title character.
The dynamic duo of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, best known for their films ‘Crank’ and ‘Gamer’, are set to direct. Scott Gimple and Seth Hoffman penned the sequel screenplay, which is based on a story by David Goyer.
Neveldine and Taylor were originally set to direct ‘Jonah Hex’, which hits theaters next month, but dropped out reportedly due to “creative differences”. It was speculated that the duo wanted a darker take on ‘Jonah Hex’, while the studio wanted to go a different route.
