According to TMZ.com, Vince Neil was arrested for suspicion of DUI this morning in Las Vegas. He is currently in custody in Clark County Jail, where his bail has been set at $2,000.
Vince Neil spent 30 days in jail and was fined $2.5 million (GBP1.3 million) for a drunk driving accident in the 1984, which claimed the life of his passenger and friend, Hanoi Rocks star Razzle. The crash has haunted Neil for years and the singer even dedicated Theater of Pain, Mötley Crüe’s third studio album, to Razzle.
The legendary Motley Crue frontman recently released a new solo CD, titled “Tattoos & Tequila”(Eleven Seven Music) and is set to release a tell-all book by the same name on September 23 via New York’s Grand Central Publishing. The 12-track album (Neil’s third studio project as a solo artist) is made up mostly of covers of songs from some of Neil’s favorite artists, including Cheap Trick (“He’s a Whore”), Elvis Presley (“Viva Las Vegas”), the Scorpions (“Another Piece of Meat”) and Elton John (“The Bitch Is Back”).
