Thirty Seconds To Mars, recently named Best Rock Band at this year’s MTV EMA’s, has just released a video preview for “Hurricane,” a short film titled after the track of the same name from the band’s latest album release, This Is War. The film, like “This Is War” and “Kings and Queens,” was directed by Bartholomew Cubbins.
In addition to picking up the award for Best Rock Band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, who was also nominated in 3 categories at the MTV EMA Awards, performed a show-stopping rendition of their new song “Hurricane 2.0” featuring Kanye West. The performance marked not only the tracks television debut but also the first time with Kanye West himself. Earlier this year, Thirty Seconds to Mars won the 2010 MTV VMA for Best Rock Video for “Kings & Queens,” the first single/video from their new album.
Thirty Seconds To Mars has released a deluxe edition of This Is War which features “Hurricane 2.0” feat. Kanye West, live versions of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and Kanye West’s “Stronger,” which the band recorded for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, the “Kings & Queens” and “Closer To The Edge” videos along with bonus DVD content. The new edition of the album also has four different covers and an entire new look and design.
