System of a Down Reunite And Announce Tour Dates For 2011

After a hiatus of more than four years, System of a Down will reunite for 10 shows in eight countries in Europe this summer. In May 2006, six months after releasing their fifth studio album Hypnotize, the band announced that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus. Now they are back to rock!

The band has released the following statement about the reunion:

Hello All,

We are excited to announce that System will be playing some dates together in 2011.

We also want to thank you for your loyalty and support, not only to System Of A Down, but to all of our solo efforts as well. We have no master plan of sorts – we are playing these shows simply because we want to play together again as a band and for you, our amazing fans.

The list of dates and on-sale information for these shows is below. Stay tuned to for further updates.

We look forward to seeing all of you!
