Eric Clapton Offering Up Unique Items To Support Crossroads Center

Eric Clapton continues to raise money for his Crossroads rehab clinic by offering up some very cool and unique items. Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Center is an alcohol and drug treatment center founded in 1998. The center is run by the non-profit Crossroad foundation which helps subsidizes the cost of treatment.

In June, the 2010 Crossroads Festival was held outside Chicago. This is a benefit for the Crossroads Festival. For this festival a very limited edition Crossroads poster was created.  The poster is a handsome 9 color silkscreen print on 23″x 35″ tall sheet metal – orbital sanded and polished.

This is an extremely limited edition of 25 with less than 5 remaining. The poster is signed by the artists Ron DonovanDave Hunter, on the back of the metal poster. All proceeds from the sale of this poster benefit Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Center.

Clapton will also be selling more than 150 pieces at an auction in London and will feature a collection of amps and speakers including Marshall speaker cabinets he used while playing with Derek and the Dominos – which are expected to bring in more than $7,000.

There also will be guitars donated by Jeff Beck and Joe Bonamassa for sale.

Stephanie Connell, at Bonhams, said, “We are delighted to be offering such a fantastic collection of guitars and amps from such an iconic musician and hope the auction will raise a lot of money for this worthwhile cause.”

The guitars will be on display at Bonhams from January 23-26 before the sale on February 9.
