The boys are back and there’s gonna be some trouble! Season nine of “That Metal Show” kicks off on National Metal Day (11-11-11) with an exclusive interview with Guns N’ Roses lead singer and original member, Axl Rose and lead guitarist Dj Ashba.
In his first television interview in over a decade, Rose opens up about his new band mates, touring, rumors, misconceptions and much more. The premiere episode of “That Metal Show” with Axl Rose airs Friday, November 11 at 11 PM ET/PT on VH1 Classic.
Named one of the greatest singers of all time by “Rolling Stone,” Rose, the only remaining original member of Guns N’ Roses, gives an exclusive interview to “That Metal Show” discussing intimate details of his past, present and future. The notoriously private singer opens up to “That Metal Show” hosts Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine in a one-hour sit down interview shortly after leaving the stage in Orlando on Saturday, October 29. In this no-holds-barred interview, Rose divulges why he is touring now, what his fans and music mean to him, his past albums, future music plans, and offers intimate revelations behind some of his most famous hits such as “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child Of Mine” and much more. In honor of National Metal Day (11-11-11), VH1 Classic is also premiering “Behind The Music Remastered: Megadeth” at 9PM ET/PT and the exclusive debut of Banger Films’ groundbreaking documentary series, “Metal Evolution” at 10PM ET/PT. “Behind The Music Remastered: Megadeth” dives into the lives of the champions of thrash metal for the last thirty years, Megadeth. Updated since its original episode, Dave Mustaine’s crippling hand injury which threatens the bands survival, a painful lawsuit and more walkouts of band members. The premiere episode of “Metal Evolution Chapter 1: Pre-Metal” will focus on Pre-Metal, the earliest sounds of metal that can be heard in the music of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix. “Metal Evolution” is an 11-episode docu-series produced by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn of Banger Films and is based on the groundbreaking “Heavy Metal Family Tree.” The “Heavy Metal Family Tree” is a 26 sub-genre genealogical chart which reveals the vast complex progeny of heavy metal – from Early Metal and Shock Rock to Thrash, from Progressive Metal to Grunge and Nu Metal.
