Everlast To Raise Awareness And Funds For Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Through Song Download

'Songs For The Ungrateful Living'

To help raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/rapper Everlast (aka Erik Schrody, who has a two-year-old daughter with CF) is supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the sale of the song “Long Time.” From May 8 through May 22, each 99-cent iTunes download of “Long Time” will spur a 65 cent donation (the label’s entire proceeds) from Everlast, Martyr Inc. Records and EMI Label Services to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Visit the iTunes store to download Everlast’s “Long Time” and support the fight against Cystic Fibrosis online at

“Cystic fibrosis is a lifetime battle,” says Everlast. “The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is doing a lot of really good work, and they’re on the verge of making more big breakthroughs.”

In addition to the “Long Time” donations, Everlast and his family participate in Great Strides, and the artist has recently teamed up with fellow musicians and comedians to further support the search for a cure.

“Long Time” is part of Everlast’s new album, “Songs of the Ungrateful Living”, a 15-cut collection that highlights the struggles and untapped potential of the nation during the economic recession. Critics continue to shower Everlast’s new album with critical acclaim as Vibe proclaimed, “On his sixth solo studio work the groundbreaking white MC is making a no-nonsense return-to-form” and The New York Times says, “[Everlast is] Among the few who are singing about the problems of the working man these days …A brooding meditation…”

Everlast is planning to support “Long Time” with a series of special acoustic performances throughout California in May, before his full European tour begins later this summer
