Maroon 5 Go Behind the Scenes of New “Payphone” Video

Maroon 5

Maroon 5 are taking fans behind the scenes with a new clip about the making of the official video for their record breaking new single, “Payphone.” The footage shows front man Adam Levine working as a bank teller during a heist, and sporting a bloody lip. “I have no self-confidence,” Adam says of his character in the video. “It’s gonna be a very difficult role for me to play because I’m a cocky motherf*cker.”

“Payphone,” which debuted at #1 on the Digital Songs chart with nearly 500,000 downloads, broke the Black Eyed Peas’ previous record for digital sales by a group. The track is available now on iTunes, and the band’s highly anticipated album, Overexposed, is due out June 26th on A&M/Octone.

Be sure to check out the “Payphone” lyric video, and keep an eye out for the official clip premiering later this week. For more Maroon 5, visit their official website at
