Comedian Todd Barry To Release “Super Crazy” On July 24th!

Todd Barry brings his signature deadpan delivery and observational style back to Comedy Central with the release of his new special Todd Barry: Super Crazy. The extended and uncensored CD and DVD will be released on July 24th via Comedy Central.

A few days prior, Super Crazy will have its one-hour world premiere on Saturday, July 21st at 11 pm ET/PT.

The extended and uncensored DVD, featuring over 15 minutes of material not seen in the broadcast, will be released on July 24th by Comedy Central Home Entertainment.  The bonus features include Barry’s uncut full performance from “The New York Friars Club Roast of Chevy Chase,” and Barry on “Giggles, Wiggles and Giggles with Gordy.” That same say day, Comedy Central Records will release the extended and uncensored “Todd Barry: Super Crazy” CD and digital album. The special also will be available on July 24thin HD exclusively on Xbox LIVE and Sony PlayStation Network, and in SD on iTunes and Samsung Media Hub.  Pre-order will be available on iTunes on July 9.

In Todd Barry: Super Crazy (filmed before a live audience at the Gramercy Theatre in New York), Barry reflects on his history as a germaphobe, gives important travel tips, and explains what you’re really paying for when you order spaghetti at a restaurant.

The comedian has previously made multiple stand-up appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman,Late Night with Conan O’BrienJimmy Kimmel Live!, and two “Comedy Central Presents” specials.  His resume also includes appearances on such hit TV shows as LouieTim and EricChappelle’s ShowSex and the CitySesame Street and many others. Barry has earned the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival’s Jury Award, praise from Ricky Gervais as one of the best comedians of 2009, and accolades from The Onion’s A.V. Club, which declared his first album Medium Energy one of the best comedy albums of the decade.
