Are you ready to rock this Fall? If so, look know further than Island Bay Day where twenty two national, regional and local bands will play the area’s largest outdoor music festival on October 12th and 13th, 2012. Island Bay Day will benefit area children and families via the Mid-Atlantic Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Armed Forces Foundation. The festival will be held at the Queen Anne’s County Fairgrounds / 4H Park in Centreville, MD.
Bands playing Island Bay Day 2012 include L.A. Guns, Days of the New, Marky Ramones Blitzkrieg, Charm City Devils, Laughing Colors, The Kelly Bell Band, The Cheaters, The Fabulous Hubcaps, Korupt, The Big Hurt, Til September, Defrayal, Weird Science, The Fifth Level, King Belvedere, This World featuring Scott McGinn of Face Dancer, Sleep Thru Sunday, and a 5 local bands in a “Battle to Rock The Shore” with the winner getting a development deal from Jamsync Music and other prizes. Over 5000 people attended Island Bay Day in 2011. In 2012 Island Bay Day will be held at a larger venue than the 2011 festival to accommodate a larger audience and now have on-site parking for all.
The event runs from 6PM – 12 AM on Friday October 12, and 10:30AM until 12AM on Saturday October 13th and features 22 bands on two side-by-side massive stages with only a few minutes between acts. There will be great food, beer, wine, full bars, kids activities, games, raffles, vendors, and much more. Tickets cost $25 in advance at islandbayday.com or $30 at the gate. Kids under 12 are FREE!
