One of the most respected, socially active artists in music, Michael Franti returns with the first new single, “I’m Alive (Life Sounds Like),” from his forthcoming eighth studio album. All People (Capitol Records) will be released on July 30th. The fast-paced, rhythmic anthem marks Franti’s first new single in two years, and has moved into the Top 15 on the AAA charts in just 3 weeks, was released digitally on April 30th.

All People follows 2010’s The Sound Of Sunshine, which was the highest Billboard Top 200 Album Chart debut ofFranti’s career. The album was nominated for a 2010 NAACP Image Award and its title track held the #1 spot on Billboard’s AAA Singles Chart for eight consecutive weeks. His previous album, All Rebel Rockers, hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and yielded the certified double platinum smash “Say Hey (I Love You).”
