Hollywood, CA band, BLACK LODGE, have released their music video for “Drag,” which marks the second installment in ‘The Diary of Tomahawk’ saga and concept album. The music video for “Drag” was shot on location in Big Bear, CA and directed by Tanya Dahl. “Drag” was recorded at The Realm Creative with co-producerJeordie White/Twiggy Ramirez (Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle) and producer Lee Miles (Rise Against, Puddle of Mudd). “Drag” was mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), mastered by Paul Logus (Stone Sour), and co-written by Zach Webb (It’s Alive).
“In chapter 2 [Drag] of The Diary of Tomahawk, we begin to see the storyline unfold a lot more. Key characters are revealed and the nature of who they are begins to be seen,” states Black Lodge founder and lead guitarist Johnny Royal. “Tomahawk stumbles into a ritual being conducted by a coven of witches who are a part of The Great Lamia. During the ceremony, the Grand Master of The Great Lamia, Breviculum, is seen invoking the spirit-birth of the demi-god, The Raven. Tomahawk is given an ancient Akkadian-Sumerian celestial map and is offered the choice of finding out who she really is and where she is descended from.”
In addition to the music video for “Drag,” Black Lodge, have released the first chapter of their accompanying graphic novel to The Diary of Tomahawk, which was illustrated by Wayne Robinson (Marvel Comics: Wolverine, Captain America).
