Incubus’ founding members Dirk Lance and Jose Pasillas II, along with former Pharcyde MC Slimkid3 and Jurassic 5’s DJ Nu-Mark, have released a new song and music video titled “Picture Perfect Phantasy” inspired by Ubisoft’s new video game ‘Rayman Legends’ (released September 3rd). You can watch the video on Vimeo and download the song for free here: http://bit.ly/PPPdwnld
Much like the musical backgrounds of the four member collaboration, the track boasts a hip-hop/funk vibe. This collaboration also marks the first time that Lance and Pasillas have recorded together since Incubus’ highly successful album ‘Morning View’.
Los Angeles renowned visual artist ‘G-Netic’ brings the music video a distinctly Rayman Legends flavor; through psychedelic projections that immerse the artists into the five distinct worlds of the game.
100 pieces of limited edition vinyl featuring the song ‘Picture Perfect Phantasy’ and an instrumental mix will be auctioned for charity through Incubus’ non-profit organization the ‘Make Yourself Foundation’. The cover art was designed by Jose Pasillas II, which was inspired by the ‘Fiesta De Los Muertos world’ in the Rayman Legends game.
Rayman Legends was released September 3rd, and has been praised for its stunning visuals and innovative gameplay by media and fans worldwide.
