Alternative rock outfit The Nearly Deads have announced dates for ‘The BraveHeart Tour,” running April 1-15. As a warm-up to the West coast jaunt, the band will open for Halestorm at Cannery Ballroom in Nashville on March 28.
Kicking off in Grand Junction, CO, the two-week co-headlining trek, with LA hard rock act Stitched Up Heart, routes through Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Spokane, Seattle, Portland, Chico, Bakersfield and Sacramento before descending upon Los Angeles for a no-holds-barred finale at Loaded Hollywood. Joining the BraveHeart battalion on select dates are Orange County rockers Neo Geo.
Both headlining bands have brand new singles. Stitched Up Heart, led by the melodic-gothic-screamo stylings of lead singer Mixi (anointed one of the Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock by Revolver Magazine), recently premiered the official music video for “Frankenstein” via Revolver while The Nearly Deads are gearing up for the April 8 release of “I Said,” the lead single from their debut album.
Originally formed in Tampa, Florida, before relocating to the music mecca of Nashville three years ago, The Nearly Deads emit polished grit. Led by the gripping vocal embrace of Ms Theresa Jeane, her classical training is evident in the power and range of her voice, while her pop and punk influences shine through in her lyrics and captivating melodies. Matching her emotional countenance with a potent combination of agility and sensibility, guitarists Steven Tobi and Javier Garza Jr, along with bassist Kevin Koelsch, layer her fertility with a sturdy cloak of conductivity.
