In a statement released by the band via social media on Tuesday, January 20th, multi-platinum rockers Hinder have officially added Marshal Dutton as their new lead vocalist.
No stranger to the band and fans, Dutton has co-written and co-produced on every Hinder album since 2009’s All American Nightmare, and has performed live on multiple Hinder stages nationwide.
Long-time friends and collaborators, Dutton and Hinder’s Cody Hanson, Joe “Blower” Garvey, Mark King, and Mike Rodden have finally joined forces after the band’s two year-long search for a permanent frontman.
“We are proud to introduce our newest member of Hinder, vocalist Marshal Dutton. As our loyal and beloved fans know, we have been searching to find the perfect fit and recently came to realize that it was right under our nose the entire time. We have been the best of friends for many years and we couldn’t be more excited for the future!” – Hinder
In anticipation of the group’s fifth full-length album titled When The Smoke Clears, which is set for a spring release via The End Records/ADA, the members of Hinder are currently out on the road doing what they do best – performing live and visiting radio stations in support of their latest single, “Hit The Ground.”
Says Dutton, “I’m ecstatic over this opportunity and I’d like to say thanks to the Hinder family for a warm welcome and all the support. It’s a privilege to be a part of such a great camp and an amazing band! I can’t wait to get out there and rock with the guys and see all the amazing Hinder fans!”
Active Rock stations that have added “Hit The Ground” include: KRWN, WRTT, WYBB, KOZE, KEYJ, WRZK, KCGQ, WQCM, WKCN, WVRX, WOZZ, WYYX, WZLB, WTPA, KTED, KHTQ, WHXR, WMGM, WBYR, WQLZ, and KZND.

Combining raw riffs with big hooks and vocal harmonies, Hinder takes their cues from rock legends such as Aerosmith, AC/DC, KISS and Guns N’ Roses, and updates them with modern guitar sounds. Their debut release Extreme Behavior catapulted the band to mainstream fame while 2008’s follow up Take It to the Limit surpassed Gold status after debuting at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 with over 80,000 copies sold first week. Third effort, All American Nightmare, dropped in 2010, followed by Welcome To The Freakshow in 2012.
Having toured with the likes of Mötley Crüe and Nickelback to Aerosmith and Papa Roach, Hinder looks forward to continuing their journey in support of their new single and upcoming album with The End Records/ADA.
