NYC-based electro-pop artist Stalking Gia has unveiled a dreamy rendition of the chart-topping Nick Jonas single “Jealous,” which premiered yesterday at SalaciousSound.com. The 21-year old has been turning heads since the release of her debut track “War Paint,” which saw some recognition in the Hype Machine world at blogs like Kick Kick Snare, Muumuse, and others. Drawing comparisons to artists like Tove Lo, Broods, or Lana Del Rey – Stalking Gia is poised to captivate audiences everywhere in 2015.
“‘Jealous’ is my favorite record on Top 40 right now,” explains Gia. “I wanted to give my listeners a little something before my next release, so I did a one take cover of it. It has a dreamy, minimal feel to it – a nice alternative from the original.”
In addition to releasing her cover of “Jealous,” stalking Gia has also released an intimate Audrey Hepburn-esque video for the track, which can be seen HERE.
