Yo, Adrian! ROCKY is heading back to theaters! Amazon MGM Studios, Park Circus and Fathom Entertainment have announced that tickets are now on sale for ROCKY 50TH ANNIVERSARY, a newly remastered 4K theatrical presentation of Sylvester Stallone’s iconic 1976 classic, playing nationwide November 7-11, 2026.
Written by and starring Stallone in the role that made him a household name, ROCKY became one of the defining films of the 1970s and launched a franchise that continues to resonate with audiences five decades later.
The film earned 10 Academy Award nominations, ultimately taking home three Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Film Editing. In 2006, the Library of Congress selected ROCKY for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for its cultural, historical and aesthetic significance.
The anniversary presentation will also include an exclusive featurette tied to the upcoming film I PLAY ROCKY, featuring clips, behind-the-scenes material and interview soundbites from the new Amazon MGM Studios production, along with a greeting from the cast.
Directed by Academy Award winner Peter Farrelly (Green Book, There’s Something About Mary), I PLAY ROCKYtells the story behind Stallone’s fight to bring his screenplay to the screen while insisting that he play Rocky Balboa himself. The film is produced by Toby Emmerich, Christian Baha, Paul Currie, Michele Weiss and Farrelly.
Fans looking to take a piece of the anniversary home will also have several limited-edition concession collectibles to hunt down at participating theaters, including a ROCKY 50TH ANNIVERSARY Staircase Popcorn Bucket, a 130-ounce collectible popcorn tin and a 44-ounce beverage cup.
