METAL MELTDOWN: Concert Series To Kick Off Blu-ray Releases With Twisted Sister On July 22nd

twistedsistermetalmeltdowncover

The first “Metal Meltdown” concert series event kicked off at The Joint at the world famous Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas on May 30, 2015. Legendary, multi-Platinum selling rockers Twisted Sister performed an explosive 90-minute concert of their biggest hits spanning their 40-year career. The show was dedicated to the honor of Twisted Sister’s iconic drummer, A.J. Pero, whose tragic, sudden death just two months prior to the filming of this event shocked the music world. The band announced that not only were all the remaining concerts being performed in 2015 dedicated to the memory of A.J. Pero, but that 2016 would mark the 40th and final year of the band’s legendary live performances. They recruited renowned drummer and friend of A.J. Pero, Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold) to take the reins, and his very first Twisted Sister appearance was captured by the “Metal Meltdown” camera crew.

Twisted Sister fans will now get to witness that special concert produced by the award-winning production company, Rock Fuel Media in association with Loud & Proud Records. Directed by Brian Lockwood (Bon Jovi, Metallica, Motley Crue), TWISTED SISTER: METAL MELTDOWN LIVE AT THE HARD ROCK CASINO LAS VEGAS – A CONCERT TO HONOR A.J. PERO features that complete concert, as well as Rockshow, a bonus documentary that takes fans through the band’s 40-year ride from local club outcasts to world domination with exclusive interviews, archive footage from the ‘80s, photo gallery. It was mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound. Set for release July 22, the retail package includes both BluRay and DVD formats as well as an audio CD. A trailer can be seen here.

As Twisted Sister guitarist JayJay French explains, “The decision to continue performing all the summer shows in 2015, not to mention the concert that this performance celebrates, was in jeopardy over the days immediately following A.J.’s sudden death. We needed time to re-group and re-focus. Everyone was great. All the promoters of the huge European summer festivals that we were set to headline and Barry, the producer of this concert said, ‘We understand. You all (meaning the band) have to do what makes you comfortable. Whatever the band decides has to be honored and respected.’

“In the end, I believe we did what A.J. would have wanted us to do and Mike Portnoy was a very big part of that decision in both an emotional and artistic way. This performance captured herein just two months after A.J.’s death really was about our way to help memorialize the great A.J. Pero. The front four (Dee, Eddie, Mark and I) have had no one but A.J. behind us since 1982. This concert has A.J.’s influence permeating through our bloodstream in ways that I will never forget and when we cut to A.J.’s drum solo on the rear projection screen, We were all emotionally overwhelmed. Not since our reunion for NY Steel in 2001 (to honor and raise money for the families of the NYC police and fire department who died on 9/11) have I been moved to tears.”

Award-winning producer Barry Summers of Rock Fuel Media commented, “Twisted Sister was the first live club band I ever saw in 1979 at Emmett’s Inn in New Jersey, and they literally blew my mind. We actually revisited Emmett’s and filmed a scene for the Rockshow documentary. It has been a real dream come true to produce this amazing concert film for such an iconic and influential band. The tribute to A.J. Pero makes this film that much more special. We’re excited to give the fans the highest quality concert film and live recordings ever released in the year of Twisted Sister’s final farewell.”

Other bands filmed in Las Vegas as part of the “Metal Meltdown” include Extreme, Skid Row and Great White. Stay tuned for details on those releases.

Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance Tour, featuring four game-changing rock bands from four different countries, with Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne on the bill, has announced the first round of tour dates, which are posted below.

The tour will bring American audiences the very best that rock music as a whole has to offer, with a decidedly international feel. Rock music is a universal language and all the acts on this tour embody the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll without borders.

“The fans have made our North American visits thus far this year great fun and truly memorable,” Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen said. “We are looking forward to headlining Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance festival tour this summer, and sharing the stage with HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne.”

All That Remains have scratched and clawed their way out of Massachusetts and rocketed up the radio charts over the past half-decade, all the while keeping a firm foothold in the hard rock/metal scene. Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance Tour: Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains And Airbourne To Headline

Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance Tour: Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains And Airbourne To Headline

RA_2013_logo_onblack

If there was ever any question about rock ‘n’ roll being alive and well, the answer has arrived in the form of Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance Tour.

The late summer trek will feature four game-changing rock bands from four different countries, with Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne on the bill.

Tour dates and on-sale information will announced in the coming days. Information will be posted here.

This year marks the third installment for Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance. The event launched as a traveling tour back in 2011. The following year, it became a “destination festival” in Hershey, Pennsylvania that featured Stone Temple Pilots, Three Days Grace, Seether, Buckcherry, Fuel, Daughtry and more, commandeering Hersheypark Stadium over the Labor Day Weekend.

The fest returns to the road in 2013, which is exactly where it belongs.

The tour will bring American audiences the very best that rock music as a whole has to offer, with a decidedly international feel. Rock music is a universal language and all the acts on this tour embody the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll without borders.

Danish superstars Volbeat, who have enjoyed No. 1 status at active rock radio, will share the stage with HIM, a cult favorite from Finland whose fans are disciple-like in their devotion. All That Remains have scratched and clawed their way out of Massachusetts and rocketed up the radio charts over the past half-decade, all the while keeping a firm foothold in the hard rock/metal scene. Airbourne have been making a name for themselves ever since emerging from Australia, armed with plenty of riffs and just as much attitude.

Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance Tour is brought to you by Danny Wimmer Presents, Right Arm Entertainment and Monster Energy.

“I am excited to bring four bands that all offer something different and unique to Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance Tour,” said Wimmer. “This truly brings an international flavor to the show and allows rock fans across the country to experience all different sides of what makes this genre great.”

Since forming in Copenhagen in 2000, Volbeat has released five studio albums, and two live offerings that have turned the band into superstars, collecting platinum discs and prestigious awards making them one of the most talked about bands around the world. Distilling the rebel spirits of metal, rockabilly, country and western and rock’n’roll into a gas-guzzling beast of a sound, they’ve drawn huge acclaim from music fans worldwide, and earned them the respect and admiration of such iconic musicians as James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich of Metallica (who invited them on tour in 2009), Lemmy and Danish metal legend King Diamond, Dave Mustaine, Hank III, Jon Schaefer, Social Distortion and Scott Ian.  Volbeat’s electrifying fifth album, Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, debuted at No. 1 in the band’s home country of Denmark alongside Canada, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and Austria.  The new release saw a debut at No. 2 in Finland, No. 4 in the Netherlands and Sweden, and #9 in The United States. Volbeat’s Michael Poulsen recently shared, “This is amazing and something we almost can’t believe. It’s crazy for us to think we did that, but the most fantastic thing about it is we did it with the fans support and dedication to the band. Without your love for the band, this would not be possible. So thanks a lot dear Volbeat fans and listeners. The support you are giving us for our shows and records are something we’re very proud of.  You people rock big time.”  Volbeat is Michael Poulsen (vocals/guitar), Anders Kjølholm (bass) and Jon Larsen (drums), joined by former Anthrax/The Damned Things guitarist Rob Caggiano, who produced the new album with longtime Volbeat co-producer Jacob Hansen.

About HIM:
Finnish rockers HIM have just released their highly-anticipated new album, Tears On Tape (Razor & Tie) in the United States & Canada. Tears On Tape is the band’s eighth official album and was recorded in their home country with long-time producer Hiili Hiilesmaa and mixed by long time-band associate, Tim Palmer (U2, Ozzy Osbourne, Pearl Jam, Robert Plant). With HIM’s U.S. headline “Tears On Tour” May run being completely sold out, these forthcoming dates will be their second U.S. tour in support of the new album. Formed in 1992 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko “Linde” Lindström, and bassist Mikko “Migé” Paananen, HIM’s previous albums have seen them win a worldwide following, becoming the first Finnish act to achieve platinum sales in the U.S. To date, HIM has sold a combined 1.75 million albums and over 1 million digital tracks in North America. HIM’s current lineup is Valo (Vocals), Linde (Guitars), Migé (Bass), Burton (Keyboards), and Gas (Drums). Tears On Tape is on the iTunes Store.

About All That Remains:
All That Remains continue to tour relentlessly in support of their new studio album A War You Cannot Win (Razor & Tie).  All That Remains’ second single from the new album, “Asking Too Much,” is quickly climbing the Active Rock Radio charts on both Media Base and BDS Charts and is the follow-up to their first single, “Stand Up” which spent three weeks at No. 1 at Active Rock. “Stand Up” was ATR’s first No. 1 single and their fifh consecutive Top 10 single to date.  A War You Cannot Win recently debuted at No.13 on the Billboard Top 200 with over 24,700 units sold.  The band recently wrapped up a tour with Hellyeah, In This Moment and Nonpoint and will head out for a series of festival dates in April and May (tour dates on website). ATR has sold more than 1 million albums units and over 1.5 million digital tracks to date.  A War You Cannot Win is on the iTunes Store.

About Airbourne:
Airbourne is the walking, talking, living, breathing, screaming, spitting, fist-pumping embodiment of all that hard rock has encompassed since the movement began. Fun-loving, rip-roaring, hard-partying and filled with melodic danger and grinning optimism, Airbourne craft underdog-championing anthems with reckless abandon.  Airbourne manage to call upon the spiritual substance of Thin Lizzy, the gritty, pub-crawling vibe of Motörhead, the grandiose histrionic theatricality of Judas Priest, the unifying audience domination of Iron Maiden and the sharp bite of their fellow Australians in the legendary AC/DC. They’ve stitched together these disparate components into a head-banging Frankenstein monster of their own creation, energizing the entire hard rock scene with their enthusiasm and relentless drive. Black Dog Barking, the band’s triumphant new album, is a furious declaration of all that it means to feel truly alive in service to the great spirit of rock n’ roll music. Airbourne’s third record is nothing less than the sum total of all that Airbourne has aspired to since the band formed in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia 10 years ago.

About Monster Energy:
Most companies spend their money on ad agencies, TV commercials, radio spots and billboards to tell you how good their products are. At Monster Energy, we chose none of the above. Instead we support the scene, our bands, our athletes and our fans. We back athletes so they can make a career out of their passion. Sebastian Bach’s To Unleash ‘ABachalypse Now’ On March 26th – Tracklisting Available!

Sebastian Bach’s To Unleash ‘ABachalypse Now’ On March 26th – Tracklisting Available!

Sebastian Bach - ABachalypse Now

‘ABachalypse Now’

Iconic rock vocalist Sebastian Bach‘s brand new CD/DVD package ABachalypse Now has now been set for a March 26th North American release via Frontiers Records.  The ABachalypse Now Ultimate CD/DVD Edition includes never-before-seen footage from this year’s GrasPop Festival in Belgium, the full never-before-seen Hellfest set from France and the fully-remixed and remastered Nokia show from Los Angeles (originally broadcast on AXS TV), as well as bonus music videos.  The DVD contains a running time of nearly 160 minutes.  ABachalypse Now will be available in two configurations: the Ultimate CD/DVD Edition (2 CDs + DVD) and a standalone DVD; the respective covers can be accessed here and here.  Please see below for the complete track listing.

Sebastian Bach‘s latest album, KICKING & SCREAMING, was produced by Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Atreyu, Filter) and debuted in the Top 75 of the Billboard Top 200 Album chart and received rave reviews from critics and fans alike.  Outburn declared, “Sebastian Bach delivers a balls out gang of mountainous hooks, titanic grooves and straight down the middle hard rock”, while Revolver avowed, “Bach’s voice is in particularly fine form on KICKING & SCREAMING, boasting more color and range than most…”  Bach was recently named one of the 100 greatest living rock stars by Revolver.

Sebastian Bach has sold in excess of 20 million records worldwide as lead singer with his former band,  and as a solo artist.  Far from just being a multi-platinum recording artist, the singer/songwriter/actor/entertainer has expanded his career over the past decade to include episodic television with a 5-season recurring role on the CW’s hit series “Gilmore Girls”, starring roles on Broadway (“Jekyll & Hyde”, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”) and national touring companies (“Jesus Christ Superstar”), and has appeared regularly on MTV and VH1.

Now in its seventh year, ROTR will again take place at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH and be marked by aspectacular lineup of rock heavyweights.  With the addition of some notable headliners on Friday, festival organizers are also working on a series of additional enhancements for ROTR 2013.  Improvements, added amenities and updates will be announced in early 2013 with the festival’s line-up.

“We are constantly working to improve upon the success of Rock On The Range,” says Gary Spivack, co-executive producer of the multi-stage music and lifestyle event for Right Arm Entertainment. “For one, we’ll have more ticket buying options than ever before and incentives for the ‘Rangers’ to buy early. Also, no longer will the Friday night be solely a ‘pre-party;’ it will be incorporated into the full weekend truly making ROTR the biggest destination festival for rock ‘n roll in the United States.”

Pre-sale layaway tickets, including Weekend Field GA and Weekend Stadium GA tickets, go on sale Cyber Monday:  November 26 at 10:00 AM (ET) through www.rockontherange.com.  A four ticket minimum purchase is required.  Layaway tickets will be available for purchase through February 28, 2013 and regular tickets will go on sale inJanuary 2013.

“Rock on the Range has become a high-profile national event and a staple of Crew Stadium over the past six years,” saidColumbus Crew President and General Manager Mark McCullers.  “With more than 70,000 fans from 49 states attending Rock on the Range in 2012, we fully expect the seventh installment to be the best music festival to date in our venue.”

The band lineup for ROCK ON THE RANGE 2013 will be announced early next year. Visit www.RockOnTheRange.com, and www.facebook.com/rockontherange for the most up-to-date information.
