“Trinity,” a song from up-and-coming rockers Paper Tongues’ forthcoming debut album, is the background music to a new, fan-generated video chronicling the New Orleans Saints’ road to this year’s Super Bowl.
A hard-hitting anthem about surviving against all odds, “Trinity” is the perfect theme song for a team that only five years ago had no home and an uncertain future but are now headed to the NFL Super Bowl game for the first time in franchise history. Watch the video now to get in the spirit for Sunday’s big game, and be sure to check out Paper Tongues’ official MySpace page for more information on this hot new band.
Paper Tongues’ debut album, featuring “Trinity” and their first single “Ride to California,” will hit stores on March 30th. They will soon be on the road with Crash Kings before joining back up with Switchfoot as part of the Hello Hurricane tour.
Guns N’ Roses guitar legend Slash and The Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am have remixed The Who’s ‘My Generation’ to help the relief effort in Haiti.
The Who will perform in the prestigious half-time slot at Super Bowl XLIV in Florida on February 7th, 2010. The remixed version of the 1965 anthem will be available to download via iTunes immediately after it’s debut and all proceeds from the download will go directly to Haiti.
Speaking to Billboard.com, will.i.am said of the project: “It’s the Who, their song, and then I altered the lyric to fit my generation now and then have Slash on it,” Will.I.Am revealed, explaining the participation of the former Guns N’ Roses guitarist.
“It was awesome. I loved that song way before this even came up, and talking to Pete Townshend on the phone is like, ‘What?! I’m talking to Pete Townshend on the phone?!’ That was awesome, being able to just hear their advice and everything. Those guys are just awesome.”
