Thirty Seconds To Mars have just released the uncensored version of their new short film, “Hurricane,” on VEVO.com. The video is rated NSFW due to the added graphic images of the director’s cut. Watch as the band fight their way through evil characters of the film known as The Gimps as well as a mysterious man that appears to be keeping a deep secret.

Thirty Seconds To Mars Unleashes ‘Hurricane’ Short Film!

Thirty Seconds To Mars , have just released their much anticipated short film for the next single, “Hurricane,” off their major label release, This Is War.  The video, directed by Bartholomew Cubbins, has been previewed over the past week through six separate trailers.  Whether it was The Gimps, who are the evil characters seen battling the band, a mysterious man that appears to be keeping a deep secret, or just the spotlight of each band member playing the music that they love, the clips kept fans on the edge of their seats speculating on the mystery behind the full length version of the film.  Make sure to check out the video to jump in on all the action behind this short film!

Thirty Seconds To Mars announced their 2011 U.S. tour which will kick off in San Diego at the House of Blues on January 11, with 19 dates confirmed. The band is slated to close out 2010 playing sold-out arena shows throughout Europe, including London’s legendary O2, and will play a very special New Year’s Eve show at the Pearl Theater in the Palms Resort Casino in Las Vegas.

Last week, Thirty Seconds To Mars released a deluxe edition of This Is War, which includes “Hurricane 2.0” featuring Kanye West, live versions of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and Kanye West’s “Stronger” which the band recorded for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, and the “Kings & Queens” and “Closer To The Edge” videos along with bonus DVD content. The new edition of the album also has four different covers and an entire new look and design.

Thirty Seconds To Mars, recently named Best Rock Band at this year’s MTV EMA’s, has just released a video preview for “Hurricane,” a short film titled after the track of the same name from the band’s latest album release, This Is War. The film, like “This Is War” and “Kings and Queens,” was directed by Bartholomew Cubbins.

In addition to picking up the award for Best Rock Band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, who was also nominated in 3 categories at the MTV EMA Awards, performed a show-stopping rendition of their new song “Hurricane 2.0” featuring Kanye West. The performance marked not only the tracks  television debut but also the first time with Kanye West himself.  Earlier this year, Thirty Seconds to Mars won the 2010 MTV VMA for Best Rock Video for “Kings & Queens,” the first single/video from their new album.

Thirty Seconds To Mars Add Additional Dates To Fall Tour

Multi-platinum rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars have added new dates to the U.S. return of their massively successful “Into The Wild” world tour.   The new U.S. leg will start on August 30th in Syracuse, NY at the New York State Fair and run through Oct. 16th in Pensacola, FL at Deluna Festival The band has also revealed that Neon Trees, Violent Soho and New Politics will be opening on select dates (full schedule below).

Thirty Seconds To Mars leads the 2010 Kerrang Award nominations with 4 nominations including best album (This Is War), best video (Kings & Queens), best live band and best international band.  Fans have until next Wednesday, July 21st to vote for the winner and can register to vote at http://awards.kerrang.com.  The band is winner of 3 previous Kerrang awards, 1 in 2007 and 2 in 2008.

Thirty Seconds to Mars began the “Into the Wild” tour in early 2010 in support of their 3rd studio album This Is War(EMI’s Virgin Records).  The first leg of the tour took them to 89 cities in 27 countries where they played in front of over 1.3 million ecstatic fans.  The European leg of the tour was the band’s first arena headline tour and they sold out shows around the globe including gigs at London’s Wembley Arena and Paris’ Bercy Arena.  The band will play festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Israel, and throughout Eastern Europe before returning home for the new U.S. dates.

This Is War was released in December, 2009 and has since spawned 2 hit singles.  The first single “Kings & Queens” shot to #1 at alternative radio where it remained for 3-consecutive weeks.  The follow-up “This Is War” has spent the last 8 weeks at #2 on the chart.  “Closer To The Edge” has been selected as the album’s third single and will impact radio next month.  It is already climbing the airplay charts across Europe and has been A-listed on Radio One in the UK.

Alternative Press praised This Is War with 4/5 stars and The Los Angeles Times declared that the album is “the most confident sounding thing the band has done.” This Is War debuted at #2 on the alternative album and digital album chart, selling nearly 71,000 albums in the first week of release.  The album has 2000 different album covers, as friends, fans, musicians, artists and many other notable persons submitted their own photos to be used on individual covers as part of the band’s innovative Faces of Mars campaign.  Not only are fans on the album’s different covers but thousands of fans from around the world can be heard singing on tracks throughout the album.  The band invited fans to attend summits in 8 different countries and online, where they recorded a variety of sounds, choruses and versus for the album.
