The 38th anniversary of “Colors” got me thinking about something I hadn’t previously shared. Last year, I had the chance to cross paths with the legendary Ice-T and Coco, and Ice was kind enough to sign my “Colors” vinyl.

Having grown up listening to his music and enjoying so many of his iconic roles, from “New Jack City” to “Tank Girl” to “Surviving the Game” and beyond, it was definitely one of those very cool full-circle moments.

It’s wild to think about the kind of run he’s had over the past four decades!

What If Kelly LeBrock Had Never Become Lisa in “Weird Science”? 👀🎬

The internet never disappoints! This rare behind-the-scenes photo from “Weird Science” offers a glimpse at what might have been, back when model Kelly Emberg was reportedly set to play Lisa before Kelly LeBrock stepped into the role. It is one of those fascinating bits of casting history that really makes you stop and wonder how different the film could have felt.

That said, it is almost impossible to picture anyone but LeBrock as Lisa. She brought such a perfect mix of beauty, confidence, charm, and mystery to the character that she made Lisa one of the most unforgettable fantasy figures of the entire ‘80s. It is a fun piece of movie history to look back on, but in the end, “Weird Science” feels like one of those rare films that ended up exactly the way it was meant to.
