HELLYEAH Release First New Track “333” Off Upcoming Album With Late Vinnie Paul’s Final Recordings

HELLYEAH Release First New Track “333” Off Upcoming Album With Late Vinnie Paul’s Final Recordings

Hard rock stalwarts HELLYEAH digitally release first track “333,” from their eagerly anticipated new album featuring the late Vinnie Paul Abbott’s final recordings via Eleven Seven Music Group HERE.  Early album pre-orders with classic merch are available HERE.

“Vinnie originally came up with the idea for 333,” said singer Chad Gray. “A lot of people may think Vinnie was just a drummer, but he was much more than just a badass, slamming, smashing drummer. He understood production and composition and he was very much a contributor to the writing process. This song was his baby; it belonged to and came from him. Unfortunately, by the time I was ready to actually write the lyrics, it was after Vinnie had passed. The lyrics embrace and recognize the feelings that most metal fans have. Being treated like outcasts and being judged for the way we look or dress. It’s a reminder to all the metal fans that no matter what, you will always have a place in our worldwide metal community. With that said…Welcome to the family! We’re all the root of half evil reppin’ 333!”

Gray continues, “I love 333 and what it represents — being half evil. It was a part of Dime (Darrell Abbott) and (brother) Vinnie before HELLYEAH was formed and very much became a part of HELLYEAH as we carried the torch for Dimebag. They were both so accepting of me and many others, and they taught us to treat people with respect, dignity and humility.”

HELLYEAH will perform a one-night-only special concert Celebrating the Life and legacy of Vinnie Paul, at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, May 11.  The band and Live Nation will donate a portion of each ticket to the American Heart Association, in honor of Vinnie Paul.Limited amount of tickets can be purchased at: https://livemu.sc/2UouEnW.

HELLYEAH was formed in 2006 by Pantera founder/drummer Vinnie Paul, singer Chad Gray (Mudvayne) and guitarist Tom Maxwell (Nothingface) with bassist Kyle Sanders (Bloodsimple) and guitarist Christian Brady who joined in 2014. The band has released five albums, culminating in the #2 Hard Rock album release UNDEN!ABLE in June 2016. Their final album with Vinnie Paul is slated for release this summer.

Meet This Year’s ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL Bands!

ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE:

Slayer
The Chicago Tribune’s Greg Kot wrote that the five-time-nominated, two-time Grammy winning Slayer is “one of the great American rock bands of the last 30 years, forget about genre.” Their membership in “The Big Four” – Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax – the four bands that defined the thrash/metal genre – secures their place in music history. Indeed, few bands come close to matching the intensity that Slayer brings to its live shows, having been named “Best Live Band” by numerous media outlets including Revolver, SPIN, and Metal Hammer. With songs that mirror the turmoil and aberrations of our society – God’s terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, chemical warfare, the hideous minds of serial killers, and the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, Slayer remains crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the Mainstream. Slayer’s founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed in 2013, and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has been filling in since. Paul Bostaph, who was Slayer’s drummer from ’94 – ’01, has rejoined bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King, and is back behind the kit. Slayer is currently in the studio recording a new album set for a 2015 release.

King Diamond
King Diamond’s Dreams of Horror double album was released in November of 2014 and is the only best-of compiled and approved by the band. The tracks were remastered and enhanced by Andy LaRocque and King Diamond himself. Give Me Your Soul…Please, King Diamond’s 2007 full-length, was nominated for a “best metal performance” Grammy Award!

HELLYEAH
HELLYEAH is comprised of Chad Gray (Mudvayne), Vinnie Paul (Pantera, Damageplan), Tom Maxwell (Nothingface), Kyle Sanders (Bloodsimple) and Christian Brady (Magna-Fi). Their current album, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, is a welcome return to form. It leaves a mark, thanks to songs like the angular, vengeful “DMF,” a song birthed by the sort of anger that can’t be faked; it will leave you wondering who pissed these guys off. “Gift” is dirty, rowdy rock with equal parts groove and swagger, but also possessed of the sort of punk rock energy that would make Motorhead fans turns their heads. Then there is moodier, more contemplative fare like ” Moth” and “Hush” which connect on an emotional, cellular level, proving that you can be incredibly heavy in ways other than loud and fast. “Hush” is taking Rock radio by storm – among the most-added records in each of its first 3 weeks at theformat. The video for the track debuts upon this tour announce – see it at www.hellyeahband.com

The Devil Wears Prada
The Devil Wears Prada recently announced their return to Rise Records and their next release, a conceptual EP entitled Space, coming in summer 2015. The Space EP marks the band’s first concept release since Zombie and the first on Rise Records since their sophomore release, Plagues, in 2007. Zombie debuted at #11 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts in the summer of 2010. The band is currently headlining the “Zombie 5 Tour” to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the acclaimed EP.

VICTORY RECORDS STAGE:

Whitechapel
Whitechapel’s Our Endless War was released in April of 2014 and it debuted at a staggering #10 on the Billboard Top 200 charts, as well as #1 on both the iTunes rock and metal charts. Watch Whitechapel’s latest video, the intense and bloody Mitch Massie-directed “Let Me Burn”, now HERE.

Thy Art Is Murder
Australia’s incendiary extreme musical export Thy Art is Murder, return with one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Produced and mixed by Will Putney (Suicide Silence, Exhumed, The Acacia Strain), Holy War is the band’s second release for Nuclear Blast Entertainment and third full-length album overall. Holy War will be available in various formats (digital; limited digi-pak + bonus track; assorted color vinyl; exclusive mail-order picture disc) and unleashed in North America on June 30th, in Europe & Australia on June 26th, and in the U.K. on June 29th.

Jungle Rot
American death-metal band, Jungle Rot, has been providing the masses with headbang-worthy anthems since their formation in 1994, with recent notable touring including runs with Suffocation, Kataklysm, and a killer performance on the 70,000 Tons Of Metal Festival Cruise 2015. Fans can expect a new Jungle Rot album this June, just in time for the Mayhem to begin.

Sister Sin
Lead by one of Revolver Magazine’s Hottest Chicks of 2015, Liv Jagrell, Swedish heavy-metal band Sister Sin have been riding high since the release of their October 2014 album, Black Lotus. Currently wrapping up a hugely successful, high-voltage tour with UDO in Europe, the no-nonsense four-piece is ready to take over the States once more, delivering a real dose of rock ‘n roll to the masses.

Sworn In
Chicago’s Sworn In just released their second album, the conceptual The Lovers/The Devil, this past Tuesday April 7th while on the road for their first-ever headline tour.

Shattered Sun
Poised to dominate the metal scene comes Texas melodic metal six-piece, Shattered Sun, with their Victory Records debut album, Hope Within Hatred (out April 21st). Currently crushing venues across the US as direct support to Testament and Exodus, Shattered Sun has come along “with all the riffs, all the hooks and several fucktons of heavy metal fury” assures Metal Hammer.

Feed Her To The Sharks
Australian quintet, Feed Her To The Sharks, are out for blood and proved such with their 2015 Victory Records debut album, Fortitude, which was applauded by BLUNT Mag for “taking metalcore back to its riffy, growly roots”. Having conquered their own metal scene, performing on the 2013 Van’s Warped Tour Australia and constant touring since, this band is ready to unleash their dynamic, merciless live show onto the masses this summer in the States.

Code Orange
Code Orange’s I Am King was released in September of 2014 and debuted on the Billboard 200 at #29. The album quickly peaked at #10 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart and has gained rave reviews from music critics and fans alike. Watch Code Orange’s latest video, “Dreams in Inertia”, HERE.

Kissing Candice
Theatrics are promised with each performance and every listen of New York’s gore-metal purveyors, Kissing Candice, who will be unleashing their Victory Records debut album this summer in time for the Mayhem festivities. Can’t wait? Catch the blood-soaked, masked madmen of Kissing Candice performing alongside Twiztid and Davey Suicide, beginning May 1st.

Remember – get your tickets beginning Friday, April 17th at 10:00am local time! We’ll see you in the pit!

HELLYEAH Returns To The Road With “Blood For Blood 2015 Tour”

HELLYEAH Returns To The Road With “Blood For Blood 2015 Tour”

hellyeah-2015-group-1

After a hugely successful US arena run with Volbeat and labelmates Five Finger Death Punch and Nothing More, HELLYEAH will head back to those markets for a triumphant headline run, with special guests DEVOUR THE DAY and LIKE A STORM in tow.  The band celebrates their first-ever Top 10 radio single “Moth,” and its companion video which has nearly reached 1.5 million views.

The band is excited for this headline run “After supporting some great bands for nearly all of 2014, we are excited about being a headliner and bringing you nearly all the music off  BLOOD FOR BLOOD live,” says Vinnie Paul.  “We can’t wait to see you guys and destroy!!! Cheers, hellions!”  DEVOUR THE DAY bassist Joey “Chicago” Walser adds, “I feel more excited about this tour than any other previous. These are great cities filled with great people. We are honestly so ready to reconnect with our music family.”

Coming in 2015!

Coming in 2015!

HELLYEAH’s BLOOD FOR BLOOD is a welcome return to form. It leaves a mark, thanks to songs like the “Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)” and “Demons In The Dirt.” Then there is moodier, more contemplative fare like the current hit radio single, “Moth” which connects on an emotional, cellular level.  “HELLYEAH lock and load their most crushing and catchy salvo yet with ‘Blood for Blood’. Its unmitigated, unbridled, and unique energy makes for one of the best heavy records of 2014 and the band’s definitive offering to date. It will leave you bloody and smiling,” says Rick Florino of ARTIST DIRECT.

DEVOUR THE DAY was one of music’s biggest Cinderella stories of 2013.  “Good Man,” the first single from their self-produced TIME & PRESSUREdebut album (released May 7, 2013), reached the Top 10 on the “Active Rock” chart and Top 15 on the “Mainstream Rock Tracks” chart. DEVOUR THE DAY was one of the Top 40 most spun artists of 2013 at Active Rock stations nationwide. They’ve toured with In this Moment, Butcher Babies, Three Days Grace, Sevendust, and shared the festival stage with, Rob Zombie, All that Remains. The latest single release, “Respect,” reached the Top 20 on Mediabase’s “Active Rock” chart last September.  Iconvsicon.com described TIME & PRESSURE as a “…powerful wall of sound,” while Metalholic.comnoted, “TIME & PRESSURE does justice to their reputation for crafting great rocks songs with an empowering message” and Ampkicker raved, “This is a brutally good record.”

GIGANTOUR 2013: Lineup To Feature Megadeth, Hellyeah, Black Label Society, Newsted & More!

GIGANTOUR 2013: Lineup To Feature Megadeth, Hellyeah, Black Label Society, Newsted & More!

Gigantour2013_Tiger

It is an announcement that headbangers have been waiting for all year long! GIGANTOUR–the critically acclaimed package festival founded in 2005 by MEGADETH’s Dave Mustaine—returns in 2013 with an incredible new line-up for the tour.  In addition to headliner MEGADETH, the multi-artist bill features metal heavyweights BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, DEVICE, HELLYEAH, NEWSTED and DEATH DIVISION, all personally picked by MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine.

GIGANTOUR “This year’s power-packed lineup is probably the best Gigantour yet, and we’ve had some pretty massive Gigantours over the years. Gigantour 2013 brings four of my favorite bands, each centered around a superstar. With Zakk, David, Vinnie, and Jason there are going to be fans from Ozzy to Disturbed to Pantera to Metallica and everything that’s metal in-between! Don’t miss the metal festival of the summer!” says Mustaine. He founded the tour in 2005 and over the years has had established artists such as Volbeat, Motorhead, Anthrax, Fear Factory and Dream Theater, as well as giving (then) up-and-coming artists Lacuna Coil, Into Eternity and Sanctity their first break on a national festival tour. GIGANTOUR 2013 continues with this tradition.

GIGANTOUR 2013 will kick off on July 3rd in Gilford, NH and wind its way through North America, hitting cities throughout Canada and the U.S., wrapping on August 11th in Toronto, Canada. Tickets go on sale on May 10th with a special Gigantour pre-sale on May 9th.  Check www.gigantour.com for further details.

MEGADETH has also teamed up with Artist Arena (www.artistarena.com) to provide fans with Ultimate VIP packages, including premium tickets, meet and greets, exclusive gifts and more. Go to megadeth.com for all the details.

For a heavy metal band that’s been around for nearly three decades, selling more than 38 million albums worldwide, earning numerous accolades including 11 Grammy® nominations, scoring five consecutive platinum albums—including 1992’s two-million-selling Countdown to Extinction—MEGADETH’s founder, leader and primal guitar-slinger and lyricist Dave Mustaine feels the best is yet to come. They are about to release their 14th studio album titled Super Collider, June 4, 2013, through Mustaine’s new label, Tradecraft, through UMe, just in time forGIGANTOUR 2013.

Mustaine formed Megadeth in Los Angeles in 1983, and with a string of five consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums Megadeth became one of the biggest bands of the mid-’80s and ’90s, boasting such arena anthems as “Symphony of Destruction,” “Peace Sells,” “Holy Wars… The Punishment Due,” and “Sweating Bullets,” along with the top singles in 1997/98 off Cryptic Writings, “Trust,” (No. 1 track) “Almost Honest,” “Use The Man” and “A Secret Place.”

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY (www.blacklabelsociety.com)

For over 20 years Zakk Wylde served as Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist, a collaboration that produced a string of multi-platinum albums, including Osbourne’s biggest selling album No More Tears (Wylde wrote all of the music) andOzzmosisIn 1998, Wylde formed the now legendary BLACK LABEL SOCIETY (BLS), which went on to earn its own fervent fan base (known as the Berzerkers). A limited amount of Black Label Society VIP packages will be available at http://shop.blacklabelsociety.com.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY is comprised of Zakk Wylde (lead guitar, lead vocals), Nick Catanese (rhythm guitar), John DeServio (bass), and Chad Szeliga (drums). Their eighth studio album, Order Of The Black (2010), featured two singles, Parade Of The Dead and “Crazy Horse, and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 4. With millions of records sold with both Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society, Wylde has won nearly every guitar award imaginable, and is a major influence on a new battalion of rock guitarists currently popular today.

DEVICE (www.deviceband.com)

Experimentation remains the best catalyst for progression. Rather than sticking to any pre-existing blueprints or conventions, modern hard rock icon David Draiman of Disturbed and studio collaborator Geno Lenardo [ex-Filter] constructed DEVICE from strands of hard rock, industrial, and electronica.

While the Grammy© Award-nominated, multiplatinum powerhouse Disturbed was on hiatus, Lenardo reached out to Draiman to collaborate on a song for the Underworld: Awakening soundtrack in late 2011. As soon as the singer heard the music, he was both intrigued and inspired. The duo then cut “Hunted” in Chicago. Even though the track didn’t ultimately make the final soundtrack album due to circumstances beyond their control, Draiman urged that they hold on to it and continue writing music. They soon enlisted Will Hunt from Evanescence and guitarist Virus from Dope and Rock of Ages, and had an entire album’s worth of material resulting in the release of their new, self-titled debut on Warner Bros. Records. Device is in stores now!

HELLYEAH (http://hellyeahband.com)

The Dallas, Texas heavy metal supergroup HELLYEAH formed in 2006 and features Mudvayne lead vocalist Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribett, plus Tom Maxell from Nothingface, Bob Zilla from Damageplan and drummer Vinnie Paul from Pantera and Damageplan. Their self-titled debut is a wide-ranging collection of songs including stomping metal, melodic hard rock and fun-loving southern rock and has sold over 350,000 copies. Their follow-up, Stampede, was released in 2010 and debuted at No. 8 on The Billboard 200. Their new album, Band of Brothers, is heavier than anything they’ve done before and more emotionally expressive as well as more sonically reminiscent of the bands’ past groups, Pantera, Damageplan, Mudvayne and Nothingface.

NEWSTED (http://newstedheavymetal.com)

Legendary bassist, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and six-time Grammy-Award winner, Jason Newsted is now fronting his very own band, Newsted.  The band’s explosive EP, accurately titled, Metal debuted #1 on the iTunes metal chart. Joined by Staind guitarist, Mike Mushok, guitarist Jessie Farnsworth and drummer, Jesus Mendez Jr, Newsted is currently on the road and putting the final touches on a full-length album to be released late this summer.

Newsted will be offering fans a chance to get up close and personal with the Newsted VIP Experience! To be the first to know about tickets and premium VIP packages visit http://newstedheavymetal.com and make sure to sign up for the mailing list.

HELLYEAH: Announces New Album ‘Band of Brothers’ For Spring Release

HELLYEAH: Announces New Album ‘Band of Brothers’ For Spring Release

'Band of Brothers'

Hard rock supergroup HELLYEAH is back with a their third album, entitled Band of Brothers. The album, the band’s first effort for their new label home, Eleven Seven Music, was recorded in Dallas at drummer Vinnie Paul’s home studio, VP’s Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (Godsmack, Evanessence), who also served as engineer.

Having produced track after track of heavy-hitting, in-your-face, feel good rock and roll on their previous two albums (2010’s STAMPEDE and 2007’s self-titled debut), Band of Brothers sees HELLYEAH taking a slightly different musical direction. Drawing on their former bands’ collective metal roots for inspiration, the influences and style of Mudvayne, Pantera, Damageplan and Nothingface are immediately recognizable in tracks such as“Band of Brothers,” “War In Me” and “Rage Burn,” while the party anthem “Drink, Drank, Drunk” retains the essence of earlier HELLYEAH.

Frontman Chad Gray comments, “I’m really excited about what we’ve done on this new album. I’ve always separated Mudvayne and HELLYEAH as much as I could, even though it was my voice. Melodies, lyrics and just the overall style of writing were different. With Band of Brothers, I just quit being afraid of who I am in relation to this band. I think we’ve all really gotten back to the original roots of what we’ve done individually and brought it together on this album. As an artist, as long as you’re painting with your own brush, no one can compare or challenge you. I just painted with a bigger, heavier brush than I had with HELLYEAH in the past. I think this is what fans have always expected to hear from us, and now were giving it to them.”

Vinnie Paul echoed the sentiment in a recent interview for Loudwire.com : “On our first two records, we were a new band. We really wanted to branch out and expand and experiment with all different styles. We all come from traditional metal bands and backgrounds, so it was a great breath of fresh air to play in a band that was rock ‘n’ roll, blues and Southern rock. We got that out of our system and got really focused on going back to our metal roots. It’s heavy, focused, groove-oriented and I’m excited about it.”

Jeremy Parker said, “It’s impossible not to have a good time jamming this record.  It has the anger and violence of Pantera and Mudvayne, but a party vibe that can only be HELLYEAH!”

Band of Brothers is set for worldwide release in early June. HELLYEAH will be announcing North American tour plans soon. They are confirmed to tour Australia and Japan in the coming months. Dates are as follows:

Feb 25 – Brisbane, AUS – RNA Showgrounds

Feb 26 – Sydney, AUS – Showground
