Industrial-Electronic Icons ORGY to Drop New Anthem “Army to Your Party” Featuring Crichy Crich

Electronic rockers ORGY have been consistently releasing addictive EDM-influenced singles for the better part of the last decade, and their newest super single, “Army to Your Party” featuring buzzworthy rapper Crichy Crich, is no exception.Listen to a sample of “Army to Your Party” below:

“Army to Your Party” can be pre-ordered now via iTunes, Amazon and Google Play here, and will be officially released on May 11. The single is being released as part of an EP featuring three full volume mastered mixes of the track, including a radio edit, instrumental, and a cappella, as well as three dynamic mastered mixes in the same versions. The former are engineered for singers and for karaoke, and the latter for streaming, blogs, DJ’s and remix engineers to use in live setlists and remixes.

“Army to Your Party” is cut from the upcoming new ORGY album, entitled #newmusic – stay tuned for more details coming soon! The track was mixed by Jay Baumgardner of NRG Recording Studios, and is a full collaboration written by ORGY, Sullivan King, and Crichy Crich. The single will be performed live in West Hollywood, CA at the Whisky-A-Go-Go on the release date, May 11, and on ORGY‘s upcoming tour.

Along with the release of “Army to Your Party”, ORGY is pleased to welcome new drummer Raanen Bozzio to the band! Raanen has always been surrounded by music, as he is the son of drumming legend Terry Bozzio from Missing Persons, and former Capital Records A&R rep, EV Bozzio. Over the years, Raanen has toured as direct support for the likes of Cypress Hill, Wednesday 13, Periphery, Weedeater, and The Memorials, and plays Drum Workshop Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, and Promark Drumsticks.

With this new member joining and combining his resume to build a new and improved band, ORGY is transformed and set to reinvent themselves in the marketplace.

Fans should keep their ears open to hear “Army to Your Party on the new MX vs ATV All Out video game by THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios, available now for Playstation4, Xbox One, and PC. MX vs ATV All Out delivers the ultimate off-road experience – complete with bikes, ATVs, UTVs, massive open-world environments to explore, competition modes for every type of rider, the tracks, the pros, the gear, 16-player online and so much more. “‘Army to Your Party’ is the super single release for the upcoming #newmusic ORGYrecord, which we’ll tell our fans more about very soon,” says ORGY mastermind Jay Gordon. “‘Army to Your Party’ features a guest appearance by the homie Crichy Crich, who is sick and gritty, so I know people will appreciate his contribution to the track. We’re thrilled to also have the track be part of the new MX vs ATV All Out video game, and to have our new drummer, Raanen Bozzio (son of my favorite drummer of all time Terry Bozzio), join the ORGY fold! Lots of exciting things happening in the world of ORGY right now.”

“Lyrically, ‘Army to Your Party’ wreaks havoc on pointless cliques and Energy Vamps, as I often to refer to them by,” adds Gordon. “Those are people who just have to rain on your parade and complain about everything just for the sake of complaining, yet offer nothing themselves.”

#newmusic and “Army for Your Party” are being released via the partnership of D1 Music and Pacific Rising Entertainment, a new company started by longtime ORGY fan Adrian Stinson that aims to assist artists in making their vision come true, whether they are already an internationally known touring act or just getting their feet wet in the music industry.

ABOUT ORGY:
ORGY emerged in the Goth music scene in 1998 with their incredible remake of ‘Blue Monday’. The track sold over one million copies and is still selling 20 years later. In late 2005, after the release of Punk Statik Paranoia via D1 Music and Associates, their independent DVD TRANS GLOBAL SPECTACLE via D1 Music /DLC Records, and a promotional tour, the band went on a hiatus to work on their side projects. In 2011, after seven years of demand from fans for new music and a tour, founding member Jay Gordon (vocals) decided it was time to kick things back up and begin recording and touring again in support of ORGY‘s fans.

After several years of releasing earworm singles to the masses, ORGY has proven their long-lasting potency with a refreshed line-up and sound. The modern incarnation of ORGY has been transformed and sees the band poised to re-establish themselves in the EDM, industrial and hard rock scenes. Make no mistake about it, the ORGY brand is not going away anytime soon. As long as the fans demand new music and tours, the band is ready, willing and able to fill their request.

Orgy and Powerman 5000 Team Up For “Set To Stun Tour 2017”

Orgy and Powerman 5000 Team Up For “Set To Stun Tour 2017”

orgy-powerman5000-2017-tour

Electronic, alternative, industrial, rock… whatever you want to label them, ORGY remains steadfast to one principle: giving the fans their best. While the band has been on the road touring non-stop for the past few years, ORGY mastermind Jay Gordon & Co. have been working tirelessly behind-the-scenes to put together a brand new full-length album, set to release this year.

The band’s latest EP, Talk Sick, showcased the signature ORGY anthem rock sensibility followers know and love but with a refreshed, hooky electronic twist that left listeners wanting more of the new sound (listen to a sampler here). Since the release of Talk Sick, Gordon’s creative gears have been turning non-stop. Respected by his peers and fans for his distinct creative genius, he unabashedly describes himself as a perfectionist – and a somewhat obsessive one at that. It’s no secret that there has been a delay in new ORGY music, which Gordon attributes to his desire to only release what he feels is the best representation of his work and inventive ability.

“I don’t wanna fuck with a record, ORGY or other, unless the record is the shit. This means more time, but the result is usually worth the wait, and hopefully our fans will agree with our new album,” divulges Jay Gordon. “I feel there is a lot of life left in ORGY. I’m really excited about the tweaks that have been made and the new members, and I actually have chemistry with them and it shows on the record.”

Gordon continues, “I’ve always spent so much time writing the music and production for ORGY, that we end up rushing the vocals. This time around we aren’t stopping ’til both music and vocals are the best we have to offer. Ultimately the fans get the full-length album they have been asking for, and the intended bonus is that it’s a superior product than what they were expecting.”

With that said, 2017 is zero hour, both on the album and touring fronts.

To kick off the new year, ORGY will take part in their very first world tour, the “Set to Stun Tour”, beginning with a first leg in North America. The first leg will feature ORGY co-headlining with fellow radio rock kings Powerman 5000, with support from special guests Death Valley High and Knee High Fox. The tour begins in Sioux Falls, SD on January 4, hitting several major markets for a month and closing in Sacramento, CA on February 3. More dates will be added.

Later in February, ORGY will venture into Europe – with dates in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and The Netherlands – with Death Valley High and Unzucht. South American dates are scheduled to follow.

ORGY Returns With ‘Talk Sick’ EP On July 31st, West Coast Dates Announced

orgy-music-2015-1

Orgy will release a seven-song EP, TALK SICK, on July 31, 2015. The EP heralds the band’s return to studio (then stage) with the reinvigorated lineup that has been electrifying audiences for years. The EP is a precursor of a full-length record releasing first in Europe, then the U.S. and elsewhere, by the end of the year.

Orgy's 'Talk Sick'

Orgy’s ‘Talk Sick’

“Over the past few years, I spent quite a bit of time off learning from the best in the EDM game how to make electronic music using the latest technology and format. I feel like, why bother making the same old music when there are so many advancements with sound and style, and production technique?  The new music we are making encompasses not just what we see and hear in the US but from all around the globe,” said Orgy founding member Jay Gordon, about the progression of their sound.

While holding true to its goth-filtered-through-industrial origins, Orgy approached TALK SICK collaboratively and deliberately to reflect the new era of the band. “I know it’s been a long time coming, so people get frustrated with that. We want to make music that feels right. I like to blend multiple styles, and genres, because that’s who I am, and what Orgy is all about,” continued Gordon.

In addition to Gordon’s vocals, Orgy is Carlton Bost and Creighton Emrick (guitars), Nic Speck (bass), and Bobby Amaro (drums).

TALK SICK Track List:
1) Talk Sick
2) Spells
3) Suck It
4) Come Back
5) Wide Awake and Dead
6) G Face
7) Monster In Me

A free download of the track “Monster in Me” will be available here until August 15: https://soundcloud.com/orgysongs/orgy-talk-sick-07-monster-in-me/s-7wF8N

TALK SICK will be available in stores and at all major online retailers including iTunes and Amazon. Special edition vinyl will be available at the band’s website on August 21.

TALK SICK was recorded at Spinal Vinyl, a studio Gordon helped build at Dr. Justin Paquette’s compound in Studio City CA. Gordon and Bost produced with Orgy. Gordon wrote all the lyrics. The band wrote the all the music except “Come Back” (written by Alex Niceforo) and “Monster in Me” (written by Gordon, Bost, Devon Culiner, and Aaron Shier). Tracks 1, 4, 6, and 7 were mixed by Eric Racy, 2 and 3 by Alex Niceforo, and 5 by Mark Needham.

Before touring the UK, Europe, and Latin America, Orgy will have U.S. including:

ORGY To Unleash New Single ‘Wide Awake And Dead’ On March 18th!

ORGY To Unleash New Single ‘Wide Awake And Dead’ On March 18th!

Orgy

Orgy

‘Wide Awake And Dead’ is a re-awakening; a revival of ORGY, a collection of audio-veterans brimming with talent and raring to go, and make big waves in 2014. ‘Wide Awake And Dead’ marks the first single from ORGY released this year, as a musical collaboration written by group members Carlton Bost, Bobby Amaro, Nic Speck, Creighton Emrick and Jay Gordon.

Starting on Tuesday, March 18th, fans can download ‘Wide Awake And Dead’ right now via iTunes and other major digital retailers, or atwww.orgymusic.com/wad/.

‘Wide Awake And Dead’, just like the lyrics mimic, is addictive at its most transient points, and downright obsession-rendering at its hook. The single is indicative of the direction that ORGY is headed in 2014—this new sound is brimming with crisp, charging guitars, unforgettable lyrics, and transfixing melodies.

ORGY will be touring the USA again on the second leg of “Wide Awake and Dead Tour 2014”. The band will be heading out to support the launch of the single and EP. ORGY will continue to hit major markets throughout the country in 2014 and are seeking to book a world tour in Europe, Australia. Stay tuned for dates to be announced soon.

ORGY emerged in the Goth music scene in 1998 with their incredible remake of ‘Blue Monday’. The track sold over 1 million copies and built a worldwide audience for the brand. After years of success and then a brief hiatus, founding member Jay Gordon (vocals) decided it was time to kick things back up due to high demand, and begin recording and touring again in support of ORGY’s fans. After piecing the band back together with skilled instrumentalists, 2014 marked the addition of guitarist and bassist Creighton Emrick, adding another layer of unique synth guitar sounds and melodies.

ORGY Launches Indiegogo Campaign To Fund The Future Of The Band

ORGY Launches Indiegogo Campaign To Fund The Future Of The Band

orgy-2013-1

ORGY has officially launched their Indiegogo campaign just over 24 hours ago to help raise funds and awareness that ORGY is back and bigger than ever! With a goal set of raising $100,000 in 60 days we need ORGY fans to come together like never before and help “crowdfund” the band back to stardom. Money raised will be spent on recording, production, distribution, music videos, touring and even starting a new record label to bring new music to the rest of the world. This is a huge opportunity and an extreme undertaking, which is why ORGY is calling upon their fans for help and support. “Without the fans, we are nothing… This is why we need our fans to become something” – Jay Gordon

Why We Need You – The music industry today is very different from what the music industry was, what used to be a thriving industry of large labels has now dwindled down to just a few and has made it extremely difficult to be successful. As much of a disappointment this is, it has also opened a door for us to start a brand new label, and with your help, we can achieve ground breaking results with not just ORGY, but giving other bands an opportunity and chance in the industry with us. Without a major label backing and funding us it makes it very difficult and expensive to record, produce and distribute our music to the fans. Once we do that we need to hit the road and tour, not just nationally, but internationally as well (can you believe we have never toured Europe or Japan?). Essentially we want you guys, the fans, to help get the new band and label off the ground, that way we can maintain creative freedom and do what WE want to do and not what another label tells us to do.

We have been funding ORGY from our own pockets and have reached a point where we have taken it as far as we possibly can by ourselves, and the wells run dry. This is where we need your help, without proper backing we are unable to bring our music to the fans, so we are asking everyone to come together and back us, be our supporters, and enable us to bring our music and other artists to you and the rest of the world.

The Impact – The impact from what could come from this is enormous. With your support and backing we can launchORGY into a national and international name once again. We have more dedication and drive to make this a success than ever before, not only with the music but with the label as well. This will give new bands the opportunity to be heard and succeed as well as ORGY. We just simply can’t continue out of our pockets anymore and going after a major label just isn’t the right path for us. We ask that you be a part of something new, something big, help revive ORGY and help bring new music to the world.

Other Ways to Help – We understand that not everyone is able or willing to support us financially, but there are many ways that you can help us and support us. Spread the word! Just as important as money is letting people know that we’re back, you can share our facebook page, tell your friends, blast social media sites and anything else you can think of to get the name of ORGY back out there! You are all amazing and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for checking out our campaign, supporting us and getting our name back out there! Get ready for the new ORGY!

History of ORGY – Originally formed in 1997, ORGY was signed to Korn’s label Elementree Records and released their debut album Candyass in 1998. Featuring their two hit singles, a cover of the New Order song “Blue Monday” and “Stitches” along with the song “Revival” featuring Jonathan Davis of KORN, the album went on to sell almost two million copies. ORGY appeared on the Family Values Tour with Korn, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Incubus and Rammstein and were featured on the live compilation album from the tour released in 1999. Their second album, the science fiction-themed Vapor Transmission, was released in 2000 featuring the singles “Fiction (Dreams in Digital)” and “Opticon” and the band later released the song “Faces” for the soundtrack to the movie Zoolander.

As the demand from fans for new music and a tour continued to grow over the past few years, founding member Jay Gordon (vocals) hand-selected guitarist Carlton Bost (former of Deadsy), guitarist Ashburn Miller (also from Deadsy), bassist Nic Speck (from Run-Run-Run and George Lynch) and drummer Bobby Amaro (from Nude) to come together and carry on the ORGY name. The guys, who’ve all known each other from their previous projects, have mutual respect both professionally and creatively for one another and are excited to be working together to bring ORGY back to the top.

To get involved and contribute, please check out the ORGY Music Indiegogo campaign – http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/orgy-music

Orgy’s Jay Gordon Discusses The Band’s Revival, New Music & More!

Orgy’s Jay Gordon Discusses The Band’s Revival, New Music & More!

Originally formed in 1997, ORGY was signed to Korn’s label Elementree Records where they released their debut album Candyass in 1998. Their two hit singles, a cover of the New Order’s “Blue Monday” and “Stitches,” helped propel them to amazing heights as they went on to sell over 2 million copies. Before they knew it, they went from playing small venues to sold out arenas across the nation as part of the Family Values Tour with KORN, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Incubus and Rammstein. Their second album, the science fiction-themed Vapor Transmission, was released in 2000 featuring the singles “Fiction (Dreams in Digital)” and “Opticon” and also garnered critical acclaim.

Through the years, the founding members of Orgy pursued several side projects and Orgy seemed to be losing steam. However, for fans of Orgy, the craving for new material never wained. As demand for new music and a tour grew, charismatic frontman Jay Gordon answered the call. He hand-selected guitarist Carlton Bost (formerly with Elijah Blue Allman’s project Deadsy), guitarist Ashburn Miller (also from Deadsy), bassist Nic Speck (from Run-Run-Run and George Lynch) and drummer Jamie Miller (formerly with Snot, The Start, And You Will Know Us From the Trail of Dead) to carry on the ORGY name.

Now fully re-energized with an infusion of new blood and creativity, the band hit the road for the first time since 2005 on their “Bad Blood Tour 2012.” To further excite fans new and old, the band recently hit the studio to record new material, including a collaboration with Grammy Award-winning EDM artist Skrillex. Icon Vs. Icon recently caught up with Jay Gordon to discuss the reformation of the band, his evolution as an artist and what the future holds for Orgy.

Jay Gordon of Orgy

I have been a big fan of Orgy since the first album. Looking to spread the word about you as an artist. I was curious to learn about the first memories of music in your life?

Thanks, man! My father managed bands and was always involved in the music business in some form or another. I was always around it, so initially, that is how it came about. When I got old enough to do it myself, that is when I decided to pursue it professionally.

Who would you cite as your biggest influences as an artist and songwriter?

That’s a tough one because so many different people have influenced me. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be David Bowie, but there were so many influences. That is what Orgy is all about, a sort of mishmash or a hodgepodge, whatever you want to call it, of different influences.

You outlasted many of your peers in the music industry. To what do you owe your longevity?

I just have a lot of drive to keep doing it and to keep delivering the goods if I can.

Orgy has been off the scene for a little while. What the catalyst for rebooting and moving forward with the project?

Ya know, it had just been too long. I was really interested in getting back out on the road. That was the first thing I wanted to do. It had been so long, I just wanted to get out there, brush the rust off and roll with it to see what happens. To do that you have to have a band and start playing gigs right away and that is exactly what I did.

Did you have any reservations about making that move?

Sure, there were a few here and there at first. You are never truly sure about anything you do in this business. I was worried about how the fans would respond and if they would or wouldn’t like it. I had my reservations but I just went ahead with it and it has worked out really well.

I know there was a little controversy on the part of the other original members about you reviving the band with a new lineup. (To catch up on the full backstory – Click Here) Were you surprised at their reactions?

Honestly, yeah, I was surprised. I think a lot of people are because it is not like they are totally busy doing their Julien-K thing, so I don’t really know what to say about that. I was surprised because I had been talking to those guys off and on about getting together to do shows and they were open to the idea, I believe. It just seemed to be taking so long. It seemed like it was never going to happen. I felt like I was getting blown off and nothing was getting done, so I decided to move on.

How did you go about assembling this new lineup and what do they bring to the table?

The new lineup is amazing! I don’t plan on looking back, let’s put it that way, they are that good. They are all amazing artists. Both guitar players, Carlton Bost and Ashburn Miller, came from Deadsy. The bass player, Nic Speck came from Run-Run-Run. The drummer, Jamie Miller, is from Snot and The Start. He is an amazing drummer! All of the guys are truly amazing performers and we get along great.

Were there any unique challenges that presented themselves as you started to reform the band?

You know, we had to come up with stuff tonally with the original members, so it was really interesting coming up with the elements to make it sound right for this incarnation. We had to figure out a lot of interesting things to make the sounds happen right, ya know.

When you look back at your musical work so far, how do you feel you evolved as an artist?

It depends. I think I have evolved in lots of different ways. It is all about what I like and what I am listening to at the time. I am definitely a spur of the moment kind of person and what I am into at a particular time definitely influences my music. I don’t know what that really says but I like a lot of different things and that goes hand in hand with evolution.

Jay Gordon

I agree and as an artist it seems you are great at adapting and moving the music forward. As a music fan, I really appreciate that.

Thank you!

You are out on the Bad Blood Tour. What can fans expect from you this time around?

They are really going to love the new band, just give it a song or two. The show is really good and it has been getting better with each gig. We are just looking to tear it up!

You were eager to get out on tour with Orgy. I take it you still love the touring aspect of the music industry?

Definitely, it is my favorite part! It is always crazy at Orgy shows. I really want people to be excited for what is coming next and to know that we are tearing it up more than ever. It’s just going to keep getting better and better.

Where are you in regard to new music for Orgy?

We are doing really well. We are actually going to start with a couple of live mash-ups. We will be doing the Kill The Noise one in the next couple of days and then the Skrillex one after that. Then we will start adding new songs as the tour goes. We have already been writing a little bit for the EP but that probably won’t be put out until after I get back home.

Can we expect a full album of new music at some point?

I don’t know that it doesn’t make more sense just to keep putting out more EPs because they are faster and as you get a few songs done, you can put something out. I think it is a good model to use because you can gauge what you should be doing or what you shouldn’t be doing. That isn’t to say that there couldn’t be a full length album, there certainly could be.

I guess that is another example of evolution and how you continue to adapt to the ever-changing music industry.

Absolutely. And I don’t do it tit for tat but I do like to bring influences from today into the music as well.

What can you tell us about your songwriting process and how new material might begin to take shape?

It’s weird. I might come up with a beat and see if I can use it in my DJ thing, which is called Kill-O-Watt, or it might be better for an Orgy thing. When I figure out something that could work for both, I am generally happy with it. From there, if it is an Orgy thing, I will put some bass or guitar on it and if not, I will keep it dancey and up-tempo and keep it for Kill-O-Watt. Then we begin to flesh it out and see how it comes together from there.

Your music certainly has a fire and personality of its own. Do you have any thoughts on the current state of rock music today?

I have thoughts. I don’t know if they are the most positive thoughts on the current state of the music business but this is what we do. Hopefully, we can support the industry, the artists involved and keep the music thriving somehow, through all the craziness. Music is my favorite thing in the world but the music industry is not my favorite thing in the world! [laughs] There are so many ups and downs, so many things you need to do to succeed, that the results don’t always get back to you with as much as you put into it. I think it is hard for any musician to deal with but I think if you really, really push for it, you can make anything in this business happen. I see some amazing efforts coming up from myself in the next few months.

Jay Gordon of Orgy

That is really good advice for up and coming musicians.

Yeah, keep pushing. Keep striving for success and deal with the hurdles as they get to you. They are definitely going to be there. It may feel like a huge wall or a gigantic roadblock but just keep pushing through it and you will get it done. If you have it in your mind that you will get it done, you’ll get it done!

Your career has so many defining moments. Is there something you haven’t tackled musically or even outside of the realm of music you would like to pursue?

Yeah, there is tons of stuff! There is some stuff in regards to movies that I want to get into, not acting but as far as writing goes. I am creating things all the time that I would like to see get mass marketed somehow, maybe with a little luck I can get some of that done.

In your opinion, what does the future hold for Jay Gordon and Orgy?

That’s the million dollar question! [laughs] Obviously, no one knows the future, so I really don’t know. That being said, I know that we are going to try to keep this unit together. We want to make it through some new barriers, do some things that other bands have not done and keep trying to reach the top.

Is it safe to say you are in a very positive place creatively?

For sure, for sure! I am very happy with the way things have been working out creatively.
