REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHERÂ continues FRIDAY, AUGUST 15 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/7:00-8:00 p.m. PT)Â on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. Allowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, the show continues with its opening monologue, one-on-one interviews with notable guests, roundtable discussions with panelists, and its signature âNew Rules.â
This week features a one-on-one interview with Thomas Chatterton Williams, staff writer at The Atlantic and author of âSummer of Our Discontent: The Age of Certainty and the Demise of Discourse.â This weekâs panel discussion includes Walter Kirn, best-selling author and editor-at-large of County Highway; and Molly Jong-Fast, host of the podcast âFast Politics with Molly Jong-Fastâ and author of âHow to Lose Your Mother: A Daughterâs Memoir.â
Maher headlined his first special on HBO in 1989 and has starred in 13 solo specials for the network to date including, âBill Maher: Be More Cynicalâ (2000), âIâm Swissâ (2005), âBill Maher⌠But Iâm Not Wrongâ (2010), âBill Maher: Live from Oklahomaâ (2018), and â#Adultingâ (2022). First on âPolitically Incorrectâ and for more than 20 years on âReal Time,â Maherâs combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs have garnered him 41 EmmyÂŽ nominations. Maherâs 13th comedy special for the network âBill Maher: Is Anyone Else Seeing This?â debuted January 10 on HBO and is available to stream on Max.
